  1. wow, thats a strong statement for a guy who gets pushed around all over the field! Have you focused in on his play? Always out of position and cant shed blocks. He may be somewhat decent dropping back in coverage, however thats about it in his skill set as a LB. Maybe he needs to convert to SS. But as a LB grabbin a spot on a 53 man roster I beg to differ.
  2. On a 7-9 team. How many teams would want ellison on their 53 man roster?
  3. I second that! Ellison has no business playing LB in the NFL.
  4. I didnt really dispute the carry over into the season from pre season. I just stated they didnt look good in the pre and for the overall season our run D stunk. 6 games of being good and 10 of bad gets ya ...um....7-9. Our D is too small and as the season grinds on the small bodies break down.
  5. I am not so sure it is a lie. I didnt see a great run D on the field last year. And I certainly didnt see it in the pre season. Yeah, maybe we didnt allow alot of points, but when the opposing team has the ball more than we do its hard to win in this league. So when they cram it down our throats to the 20, then settle for three, sprinkle in a few TDs and our O produces squat couped with crap coaching that equates to more losses than wins. Sorry for the venting!
  6. Thanks for elaborating!
  7. You know....its probably in the top 3. I think the Giants and the Raiders have great backs also. Like I said in another post, alot hinges on our O line.
  8. OK I may have missed something so forgive me. If Fred gets injured we have Rhodes and Omon. Who are you saying that we drag out?
  9. I think half the peeps in here like to "stir the pot"
  10. I think that concerns many of us. We have watched year in and year out a porous run D. But I remain somewhat optimistic as long as McCargo shows something. If not it might be a long season of watching teams pound the rock down our throat. Our LB's are too small to come into a solid run support scheme for an entire game.
  11. I think its awesome that we have 3 great running backs. IMO he is just giving an honest assesment on the RB's. I have felt that Jackson does see the field better and hits the hole quicker. I am not sure if he is better than Lynch, and I dont think we will ever really know because they compliment each other very well and each brings a different skill set. The chemistry is there at the skill position on the O side of the ball...now we all need our line to Jell. If we can be at 4-4 half way, minimal injuries, solid coachin...huge if on that one, then we may be able to push for a playoff spot. If this doesnt happen I believe many in the organization will be without a job I.E Modrak, John Guy etc....
  12. Why? Because they won some easy games. None of those teams we beat had winning records. I wasnt sold on them then and I am not sold on them now. Look, I want them to win as much as the next guy....but do you really think Jauron and company can lead us to the promise land? Look at the meltdown last year? And our training staff is suspect as well. Note all the injuries over the past 5 years. Alot more than most teams.
  13. Dangerous teams make a run at the Super Bowl, not to just hopefully get a wild card spot. Around week 5 we will know all we need to know about this team. I am somewhat pessimistic because our coaching staff is a bunch of monkeys.
  14. It seems everyone we sign is "unpolished" and the coaches cant ever seem to find any brasso.
  15. Jauron couldn't hoist a jock strap let alone winning the SB. You could give that guy all the talent in the world and come game day he will mess things up like always. Trends dont lie and dick is a loser coach.
  16. Michael Irvin
  17. Size does matter. LB's have to be able to shed blocks, wrap up and tackle. Keith ellison gets pushed around all over the field.
  18. Than, than....way to go tard. You must be edumacated!!!
  19. Conrad Dobler was sick! We had seasons for 32 years, 40 yard line, 12 rows up behind the Bills Bench. When I was like 8 years old I remember him going ballistic on the sidelines doing push ups and screaming, snorting etc... to get pumped up. He was definitely a few sandwiches shy of a picnic.
  20. A novel idea to pass the time...however we all want a good O line now so TO, Evans, lynch, jackson, reed and parrish can rip teams apart! I think everyone is sick of the stagnant offense as of late.
  21. I dont think "Ill Will" was the point to the post. Its more of the Bills did the right thing of letting JP go. I do wish him the best of luck as he is a class act. The NFL game was a little too fast for his mind to process. Maybe in a year or 2 he will be back. Until then best of luck to him. I do agree the one comment was uncalled for.
  22. Totally love that logic!!!!
  23. Chill out!
  24. Great post...I like the fact that you took the time to look at everything. This team has alot of what ifs. I think some of the major issues are DJ's game management, keith ellison being the weak link in our lb corps, the O line gelling, but it cant be worse than last year, they just didnt run block well. The other thing that really concerns me, like you stated is november and December at the Ralph. I just dont think Trent can handle the weather. Hopefully he proves us all wrong. Also, as much as I think lynch is a quality back, he needs to learn to hit the whole with alot more conviction. Something maybe he can learn from Fred Jackson. That guys sees a hole and is gone. Something else to ponder, if the first three games Jackson rushes for over 100 in each along with some catches, who is the starter at RB then in game 4? Dont you think the guy that does all the right things on and off the field should be rewarded?
