He made a mistake and he halfway owned up to it. The thing I don't like about his show is how he uses it like many other comedians as a political tool if/when need be. Not that I'm a huge John McCain fan, but the difference in interviews between McCain and Obama on Letterman are VERY undisguised.

In an effort to keep this thread worth anything, I'll ask this, is it perfectly okay to have all private information publicized and scrutinized by the public if you're a pro athlete?? I wonder what our society would be like if it was reversed and people on the other end of the spectrum were subjected to such standards? May be a good time to change the thread title

Wow. That's pretty deep. My job has been to basically run and increase the company's growth. And I've tripled the total income in just 1 year even with a recession. I'm pretty sure when I give the owner my letter of resignation next Tuesday he's going to be in a fit of rage (especially since I'm going over to one of our competitors). There's no competition clause or stipulation in my contract. I would try to see if he wants to counter-offer the new job I'm going to, but I really do hate working for him. I figure I'd be short, concise, and professional. With a "thanks for the opportunity" at the end.

Not intentionally, I'm still trying to figure it out. Plus, I feel uncomfortable about doing something people refer to as "tweeting".

I'm turning in my resignation letter next Tuesday and I am about to start on it. Should I keep it as concise as possible or should I emphasize on my experience here? Should I load it with compliments and thank you's? I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions? All response is appreciated!!

I believe somehow threads like this breeds ignorance and stupidity that already infiltrates the minds of the majority of Americans. Not to mention compulsive over-generalizations on things such as Donte Whitner and Terrell Owens twitter and facebook pages. If 90% of the world doesn't have it, then why do they call it common sense?

See, that's what I'm talking about. I just don't recall it being this prevalent this early in the season. But one question I do want to pose, is, why are all the deep passes/bombs going to T.O.? I thought he was our possesion receiver who could be a big play threat. What about the deep bombs to Evans?

I've only gotten through the Pilot and I've seen some things so far. My girlfriend had an interesting theory, she thinks the first night they hear the smoke monster that he's moving or building something since there's a lot of banging and mechanical noises going on. She loves the smoke monster, so she could be biased. Also, the smoke monster usually has a reason for killing someone, why did it kill the pilot? Also, the next day on the beach as Jack is talking to Kate about going to the cockpit, Losties in the background, you hear Rose say the noises they heard sounded familiar or she's heard them before. Very good call on the Locke/Machine theory, although my friend doesn't think Locke is in any way shape or form, bad. Which is very naive IMO.

The local media so far likes T.O. it's the national media I think that tend to oversight. With the exception of some ESPN division reporters.. And the local Buffalo real estate agents, which IMO are just trying to get T.O. to buy instead of lease during this economy.
