  1. I would have used it during my road test. Some woman "stopped" at a stop sign halfway into my lane right before I drove past the road. Then, my examiner told me to stop, leaned out the window and yelled, "Woman I taught you better!" Turns out he had been her driver's ed instructor.
  2. *Raises hand* I thought it had its funny parts, but overall I was disappointed.
  3. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Hitchens characterizes Maher's fans
  4. This right here, and anything credited to the same guys.
  5. haha I certainly wouldn't mind that part
  6. Ouch. I don't envy that.
  7. Hey, it's getting late over here in the Eastern Time Zone.
  8. That just makes me like the kid even more. Good to see the ump own up to it. Doesn't change anything, but hey, the whole "owning up" thing seems rare nowadays.
  9. Can't we just ignore any thread WBF starts and let it drop off the page? I realize that it's a slow board, but it will drop off eventually.
  10. I thought Cabrera was going to knock the guy's block off.
  11. I've always been, and still am, the same way. But damn if this doesn't make me think about it.
  12. The pro-replay sportswriters just got a tank and a bunch of ammo to work with. I feel sick for the kid, myself.
  13. ITT: Various angry men in a pissing match over OS's. Me: Chuckling heartily as I run Windows 7 and OS X 10.6.3 at the same time.
  14. Nothing like a medium diet coke to go with one's Double Whopper with cheese and king-sized order of fries.
  15. Wimp. I haven't even tried for sleep yet.
  16. Not sure where you pulled this out of. OP did not advocate driving under the influence.
  17. Hey, you don't !@#$ ugly chicks when you're stoned. That right there is good judgment.

  19. I think Hitchens characterized Maher's fans pretty well.
  20. Well, it was somewhat useful. Irreverent is a completely different word, so Joe's absence here might be due to him preaching fire and brimstone to his plumbing rather than fixing it properly. (I keed, Joe, I keed!)
  21. I have to disagree. I just think that while most 12 year olds will have a cursory knowledge of computers and the internet, enough to fix small problems, etc, they will not be able to find, or even think about the possibility of, stealthy programs that you installed while they were sound asleep. I don't have kids, nor do I interact with any around the age of 12, so maybe I'm wrong at this point.
  22. I knew some of that, but how many 12 year olds will? Once he's 14, 15, 16, he'll be much more likely to know those things, but at the same time the risk of him doing something catastrophic will be smaller, as he'll be more mature and worldly.
  23. Ah geez, I am confused.
