If you switched the teams and the eras they played, who's to say that Eric wouldn't have become Chris Burkett instead? Learning from Reed was a HUGE asset to Moulds' career. And you've got to wonder how Eric would have handled Jimbo screaming in his face for running the wrong route (which has seemed to happen all too often over his career).

Bingo.

Reed. He had a competitive streak I don't always see in Moulds. Part of that may just have been that Andre had a quarterback who was always willing to get in his face.

I liked the Washington-Miami and San Francisco-Miami SBs in the '80s because both times the Dolphins got their asses handed to them. Nuf said.

That's what I hear too. Still there are a number of questions. Did the bus blow out a tire? Did someone cut him off or force him to the right? (I know, it would have to be a pretty big vehicle.) Did one of the dogs run out into the road? (I know, I'd have just run over the dog given the choice). Was there a disruption inside the bus? Lots of questions. Fortunately there are enough survivors to answer a lot of those questions. And why oh why did the truck driver even pull over on a highway, and under a bridge to boot? (Less room for maneuvering through in case someone cut the bus off.) It wasn't raining or snowing. He didn't have a blowout or some other emergency

Nobody's reported how far off to the side of the road the truck was. If I had to hazard a guess I'd say that the bus driver might have seen the truck too late and tried to get around it but was hemmed in by vehicles on his left. That area is quite hilly and the bus had just come around a left turn (see map on this page http://www.rochesterdandc.com/apps/pbcs.dl...EWS01/50129004) Strangest thing. Happened in broad daylight and there wasn't any snow to speak of (which also meant the bus was going full speed). Those poor kids and their families. This is exactly why roadside parking is BANNED on highways except for emergencies. Your dog having to take a piss is not an emergency. All the driver had to do was get off at exit 7 (see map). It's not like it was a 40-mile stretch of unbroken road.

Half an hour but I never time it and no one else seems to either. Got a cafeteria in the building so I usually just grab a sandwich and eat at my desk. Then when I do go out for lunch (like today) I don't feel guilty about taking an hour and a half (like today).

The FMLA allows time off for (among other things) personal illness AND for the illness of a child for whom you're a primary caregiver. Most enlightened employment policies follow similar logic. Staying home to take care of a five-year-old with chickenpox is an acceptable use of sick time under most employment policies. Staying home to babysit your grandchildren because your adult daughter (who is old enough to make other care arrangements) is sick is not an acceptable use of sick time.

That's not true. There is such a thing if you actually use them as SICK DAYS. As an exempt employee here that's what I get, "unlimited" sick days. I use that time when I'm sick or when one of my kids is sick. When our daughter was in the hospital for a week with viral pneumonia, I stayed out all week to trade off with my wife being with our daughter at the hospital and with our son at home, and I didn't have to worry about not having enough sick time. When we had to go to Philadelphia for four days for some tests for our daughter, I took those as sick time, same deal. I get a certain amount of vacation each year based on time served, and three days' worth of personal time. I can't roll those over. Even though I get "unlimited" sick days, I'd never think of using one just because I didn't feel like going to work. Nobody else is going to do my job if I don't do it.

Let me see... since the Bills were last in the Super Bowl I have rooted for: XXIX: Niners over Chargers -- no way did I want the AFC to get off the schneid right after Buffalo lost four straight XXX: Cowboys over Steelers -- ditto XXXI: Packers over Pats -- I rooted for Favre in this one XXXII: Broncos over Packers -- I'd finally gotten over it enough to root for an AFC team XXXIII: Broncos over Falcons -- root for the Falcons? come on XXXIV: Rams over Titans -- that should have been US in that SB and I was NOT going to root for Tennessee XXXV: Ravens over Giants -- I had been waiting 10 years to see the Giants lose a SB and I enjoyed every minute of it XXXVI: Pats over Rams -- I know, shocking. But I hated Warner and Fartz. XXXVII: Raiders over Bucs -- the closet '70s Raider fan in me emerged and was quickly bitchslapped XXXVIII: Panthers over Pats -- by now I REALLY hated the Pats So anyway, in the last 10 SBs I've rooted for the AFC five times and the NFC five times. I much prefer the AFC overall but because we're in that conference I have a much greater hatred of more AFC teams than NFC teams. Case in point: this SB. I'm rooting for the Eagles.
