Of course the studio morons continue with the "Colts don't care about preseason" meme, mention Peyton Manning 50 times, and say that the Colts "have a lot of guys who aren't playing tonight." And don't even mention the Bills. Unless I'm mistaken, we're missing our starting quarterback, left tackle and two receivers, plus Marshawn played about a series.

Especially if there's nothing to cheer for on the field...

I think in ten minutes I have counted at least ten instances of him saying some variation on "this is what they do," "this is what they like to do," or "this is what they have to do" in describing the plays. My guess is (1) no, and (2) yes. He's an impressive young man. How many 22-year-olds do you know who can hold forth like that for 15 minutes without sounding stupid or pompous? The apple didn't fall far from the tree at ALL.

I don't go to Pats* boards but I'm pretty sure the response to this is "well, of course they were changing rules because of us ... we were too good." Which sounds good, but there's a big difference between changing rules to limit a particular team's fairly-gained dominance and clarifying/rewriting rules to prevent a particular team from brazenly "misinterpreting" them to gain an unfair advantage.

My entire basis of being a sports fan, other than my love for the Bills and Sabres, is based on hatred. It makes sports so much more fun. Without further ado, my five tiers of hatred, in baseball-football-hockey-basketball order: Yankees Dolphins Flyers Lakers Dodgers Patriots Senators Duke Red Sox Jets Maple Loafs Penn Braves Cowboys Rangers Carolina Phillies Redskins Penguins Rutgers Some of these are based on being a Bills, Sabres and (to a lesser extent) Mets fan. Others are based on college affiliation and hating teams liked by people I detest.
