That's for sure. He made a couple plays here and there but mostly the guys are out there waiting for the other shoe to drop. They know that even if JP gets them the ball, they're going to get hammered. No accident you've hardly seen the YAC you see in other games.

And I think the mixture is 85% JP's horrible field smarts. Even at the beginning of the game you could tell the difference, when JP laid it out for Lynch but waited until the very last possible second, by which time Lynch was dead to rights. Edwards would have hit the window as it was starting to open, not as it was slamming shut, and Lynch would have had room to move.

If Trent leads a TD drive to open the game it's a completely different environment. I'm mostly pissed at the D. First sign of adversity and they just folded like a cheap lawn chair.
