  1. This. The only thing in sports that I enjoy almost as much as a Bills win is a loss by any of about a dozen teams (Jets, Pats, Dolphins, Steelers, Cowboys, etc). Sometimes, depending on the degree of humiliation administered, I enjoy those losses MORE than a Bills win. Like Monday night? That was more fun than any win we had this year.
  2. Sorry, no way I can buy that Pete was simply testing his own players. Occam's Razor applies here. Among several hypotheses, always select that which requires the fewest assumptions. To buy your theory, I have to assume a number of things. To buy the theory that he wanted to run up the score and rub it in, I simply have to assume that he's a d*ck. That's so close to fact it's no longer an assumption.
  3. LOL Graham couldn't even cleanly pick up that ball there
  4. If Gailey was smart, we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with.
  5. I hope that means we leave him in Canada.
  6. That fourth down play epitomized the season.
  7. Like the announcer said, not being able to stop them is one thing, but a fake punt is a complete other thing. Pete Carroll has always been one of the biggest douchebags in sports.
  8. Wilson may not be able to play in the NFL. But we can't either.
  9. The best part is Seattle will run off a 20-play, 15-minute drive and we'll only get to see Thigpen kneel out the clock.
  10. Even if the replays weren't comically obscured, I'd just give it to them anyway because of the piss-poor tackling on the runback.
  11. I agree that to make the HOF as a ST you have to be "other-worldly," but I don't think the people dissing Tasker on this basis really saw him play. He was all that and more. Covering kicks, he stopped the likes of Deion Sanders, Tim Brown, Tamarick Vanover and Vernon Turner in their tracks. He blocked kicks, and on big stages too. He could return kicks with the best of them when he had the chance. Kelly repeatedly lobbied to have him in the game on offense because, he said, he was their best receiver....and I remember one play where he scored a TD to beat Kansas City in a game we had to have, on a pattern that Kelly literally drew up in the dirt in the huddle. He changed games. He changed THE game, as people have pointed out. He was on the NFL's 75th anniversary all-time team. The only way you can argue for his exclusion is to say that STs should never under ANY circumstances be in the Hall. If you believe otherwise, then he belongs.
  12. Man...you were younger then than I am now. That WAS a long time ago.
  13. You think it's about Tebow? I think it has a lot more to do with Sanchez sucking and Jets fans in general being !@#$s than it has to do with Tim Tebow. I don't think it takes much imagination to guess what he's had to hear from the fans and on Twitter, as vocal a backer of Sanchez as he's been (and remember, Sanchez's dad is a retired fireman too). That said... I agree. He reveled in the attention for decades when it was good. Now that it's turned sour, he wants out. I'd say he's the perfect guy to be the face of Jets fandom.
  14. It's times like these that I actually miss Chuck Dickerson.
  15. That I certainly cannot imagine. I was shocked to read that Ed is only 53. How long has he been doing this shtick? Got to be at LEAST twenty years. Dumbest thing Ed did (well, other than that stupid chant) was switching to a Sanchez jersey. That sank him.
  16. Fireman Ed hangs up his helmet. I don't blame him.
