  1. Lolololololololol
  2. Get ready for roughing or DPI on 4th down
  3. The middle was wide open. Miami knew they’d never risk Patty sneaking it.
  4. Well I know what Chris Broussard would call that 3rd and 1 play call.
  5. Oh for ***** sake with the flag, even if they picked it up.
  6. and just as I rolled my eyes, six-yard loss. Let’s see this play out, ok?
  7. Yep. At this point, we can’t lose.
  8. perhaps it’s partly because he’s left-handed… but yes, off-platform throws are not his thing.
  9. Imagine if Josh had thrown that tipped ball and then fumbled. Sugar high hero ball Pat.
  10. I prefer to see it as rooting against Miami. that always makes it easier I happen to be on an island in the Caribbean with my wife who is preparing to speak at a conference tomorrow. She’s busy today getting her presentation ready and all I need is to stay out of her hair. Whatever will I do? 🤔
  11. Ouch Pickens. This ain't college.
  12. Amen to that, especially the 2-3 part. My son's and my team is, or was, the Blazers purely because of Damian Lillard. And even though he WAS one of those difference makers, he was virtually alone for a decade. So happy to see him in Milwaukee with Giannis (and that he didn't go to Miami).
  13. I don't think they care much. I wouldn't. The Chiefs traded him; he didn't leave of his own accord. And then they won the SB without him anyway. Plus, and it must be said, as great a WR as he is, he's a garbage human being. And while they hate losing to us, I bet they hate losing to Cincinnati even more.
  14. Beane did say they've been talking to his agent for the last three weeks. And he didn't say this, but I think they wanted to wait to see if anything else came free before the trade deadline.
  15. Speaking of bars, I saw your screen name and immediately thought of the Palm Isle.
  16. Well, I think he's one of those older dudes that seem to show up every November in search of a(nother) ring. I'm fine with it. Less wear and tear means he'll be fresher in January. Plus, you don't want to foreclose options and flexibility at the trade deadline.
  17. Beane doesn't know what he's doing! The sky is falling!
  18. And why exactly would Beane tell anyone he tried to trade him? What does that do for the team?
  19. And another rotting branch snaps off the Bill Belichick coaching "tree."
  20. Packers realize they got fleeced and trading a guy who's "almost 30" sounds better than trading a guy who just turned 28.
  21. And this is exactly how BBB operates. You almost never hear about our interest in guys before we acquire them. That helps keep their price low, especially when other teams and agents know that he isn't swayed by public opinion. I actually believe Fournette's agent almost torpedoed his shot at coming here... I could picture Beane calling him after the reports came out and saying "you better retract that story if you want us to keep talking." It's also why I don't think we're in on Suh (although I think we should be). I also wonder if some of those stories -- Suh, Henry, etc. -- are quiet plants by Beane operatives to distract people while he works on the deals HE wants. And one other thing: do you all realize that we got a starting CB for the price of a draft pick swap? That's highway robbery. Everyone saying "it's like giving up a fourth" is missing the mark. That's what a dumb GM does, give up a pick in a straight trade. We gave them a low third, they gave us a high fifth... and they gave us Douglas on top of it, with an extra year of control. Appreciate the genius.
  22. Or maybe he's just the type of guy they want here, as they've shown repeatedly with guys like Hyde, Poyer, Von, etc. And they know with Tre out and our safeties aging, they need a linchpin-type back there to continue helping ALL of the DBs grow. Doesn't have to be about Elam, though maybe it is in part. Of course, the biggest reason they got him is to make the DB corps better.
  23. How you feeling now?
  24. He was the proverbial blind squirrel in that game. Just happened to find an acorn for once in his life. I prefer to look at it as, nobody even wants to contemplate having him lead their football team. Rasul Douglas and a 5th to us for a 3rd
