  1. ^^It's this attitude that makes good people leave. ^^ Have an opinion, debate topics, but the constant bashing of players and members on here is beyond out of control. I am a moderator on a highly successful import car forum where young people can get out of hand, but on our board it rarely ever does becuase abusers are simply not tolerated, and removed. and our site has more members than any other site for that particular vehicle, because it is a community where people respect each other. That's not an apology, i'm sure you never even meant to, it's sarcasm, rude, and has no place on a board where we are all supposed to be able to discuss our passion for the Bills. Some of us are even neighbors, and there's no way anyone would talk to another person in real life the way it occurs here.
  2. This is absolutely ridiculous that there is even a debate over this guy, so I'll just post my comments from another really stupid "Lets bring this loser QB here" thread http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...13546&st=22
  3. I knew as soon as he was released these threads would pop up on this board like pimples on a teenager. I'll never understand why people think that bringing in other teams QB garbage doesn't have a down side. Like We'd bring this guy in, give him a chance to develop, and poof! He becomes and amazing QB....here...in Buffalo....with only one veteran to throw to...nevermind that he really has no talents that translated to the NFL. I already think we're wasting our time trying to develop Brohm. I can only think of 2 QBs that were drafted onto poor teams that made it elsewhere, Steve Young and Brett Favre. There aren't enough coaches on the team to develop what we have now, and to be perfectly honest, it looks to me like the current GM and coaching staff see enough in what they have now to keep the team competitive this year, and will make a move on one of the QBs in next years draft. I certainly didn't think Tebow/McCoy/Claussen were the answer at all, and there was no way in hell any one of those 3 QBs were going to come in completely inexperienced and perform better than any of last year's QBs, which makes even more sense to me that they selected Levi Brown, a completely underrated QB that, to me at least looks a ton better than Tebow/McCoy/Claussen in his game time decisions, arm strength, and accuracy. Levi's footage on youtube, look him up, is very impressive, its almost hard to believe he appears that talented, has a throwing motion that looks a little bit like a Jim Kelly/Brett Favre hybrid motion, and a complete leader on the field that you can actually see it on the video clips. Can Levi compete for the starting job this year? no, but who knows in the future, of if someone gets hurt. I was probably the only one who was relieved when we didn't waste a pick on them. I can't wait till Denver releases Kyle Orton....(sarcasm) quick edit - ohh yeah, I can't wait till Matt Cassel fails miserably in KC, he's another Don Strock in my opinion. The "lets bring him in" threads will be immediate.
  4. You're definitely missing out brother... I tell everyone who goes, make sure to tell them to make them extra crispy, so when they're floating in the bowl they taste better.... I go every time I go back home.
  5. I first heard of PSL's down here in Tennessee and could not believe what a colossal ripoff it is. When the Houston Oilers moved here that's the only way you could get season tickets. I can tell you right now I'll never pay a fee, just to have the right to buy a seat. When it comes to that, I'll just party in the parking lot and listen to it on the radio.
  6. Not to sound morbid, but I truly believe that a lockout or strike will actually cause Ralph Wilson's demise, and then the chaos will really begin in Buffalo.
  7. Guys seriously, this is a moderator's response in a tone I suspect as very tongue in cheek, and a sarcastic response to the OP's original post. I also don't share the OPs feelings, but I do worry about depth and who we have starting at LT, RT, C, LG and RG. OMG!!! we are all going to die!! Seriously... if these guys can come back from injury, stay healthy, and execute a decent scheme, the O-Line should be at the very least, serviceable next year.
  8. He did realize his potential, he was an amazing running QB with poor accuracy and game management skills, the end.
  9. Wow people express their opinions on a message board and you feel the need to call them clowns...interesting. Well I guess since you are posting here that makes you one as well, but since your opinionated claims of marshawn being a better prospect based on nothing and diminishing his felonies as "juvenile incidents" sort of makes you the clown leader. Sorry, I just call 'em as I see 'em.
  10. Most of Lynch's production came in the first 2 years, which sadly to say are his best, and behind him. How productive can a guy be when he is one more stupid, boneheaded, 0 common-sense mistake away from a 1 year suspension which seems like an inevitable future event. Then how much will those touchdowns he scored in the past help us as a team? He is a young talent with very little common sense, and very low character, I hope "Least-Mode" gets his 1 year suspension as a Miami Dolphag, or some other crappy NFL franchise. Freddie > Marshawn. I'd rather turn our focus as a team to the newer, and more talented options we have at that position.
  11. I know... now imagine it coming from a bills fan who was born in tennessee and had a thick southern accent... cherry on top of the 'ol sunday. I could'nt get it out of my mind the rest of the day.
  12. I don't have a nickname to throw into the mix here but i did hear something hilarious down here in banjo-land: First we had the Killer(OJ), then we had the Thriller(Thurman), and now we have Spiller. Classic.
  13. There's no real way to predict what will happen this upcoming season other than with new schemes on both sides of the ball, there will tend to be a lot of breakdowns in execution of game-plan simply due to unfamiliarity. With that said, I still contest that even with these mistakes and growing pains, this team is without a doubt better coached this year, and you can't argue the snooze-fest that was Dick Jauron and his no-touchdown offense no longer around, that this team has at least a fighting chance to win games now. I'm not proclaiming Chan Gailey a savior, but he has a far better record than his predecessor. You don't need a top performing QB to win 8-9 games, look at what the Jets did with Sanchez, the Steelers did with Rapelisbagger in '04, and the Bears of '06 with Rex Losman...err Grossman. So we have Trent/Fitz/Brohm/Brown as Qb's, and the Williamsville toll barrier as an offensive line, but I'm banking on the departure of T.O. and Jauron as the 2 most important moves of the offseason that made this team better, and have a bit of optomism that the team will win a few more games than last year. And as always, I still would have loved to see Cowher here as a coach, but it is what it is, and we have no choice but to give the regime a chance to succeed.
  14. There's no question in my mind he might be the biggest question mark coming into this season, and I am actually looking forward to seeing how he pans out. He was a very gifted player in college, it would be really disappointing to see his talents go to waste.
  15. I also liked they way he handled the benching, and if He is the starter, fine I'll support him as the starter and hope he improves. If he is not the starter, and someone else is, I hope that person gets a chance to develop. The point in my earlier post in this thread was that I didn't agree with judging Trent's performance last year without all the other factors that contributed to his poor season, and I also didn't intend for my comments to be interpreted as clearing him of blame either. Bottom line: It would be nice if a QB coming to this team had a fighting chance to develop properly whoever is named the starter.
  16. Wow, you're really good at childish sarcasm. get a life.
  17. I really think this guy will emerge as a solid outside linebacker, he has the right size and all the tools necessary to perform well. There's no question he is too small for his drafted position.
  18. Please go wash your patriots jersey and stop insulting other people's opinions. I don't see any facts behind your post that makes your prognostication any different, unless your channeling Nostradamus, and in that case make yourself useful and PM me some winning lottery numbers.
  19. I went to the Bills- Titans game last year, and I can honestly tell you Trent looked terrible, but the offensive line looked like they had their shoes tied together, they absolutely blew chunks. Before you judge my next comments, understand that i am neither a trent supporter, nor am I a detractor. I still contend strongly that there is just no way you can judge the performance of a quarterback when the offensive coordinator was fired right before the start of the season, the offensive line play that followed, a whiny B word receiver who Trent knew he needed for force passes to to keep him happy, and a bonehead starting RB in Marshawn who decided to mail in his season. Now if you have taped any games and can watch some of the film, look at how poorly the receivers ran routes, and how very little separation they got. It says a lot when you have only 1 receiver coming back this year. Tight ends, seriously, we have who? After Jauron was dismissed, fitzpatrick was the benefactor in some renewed inspired play for a few games, and he got a little lucky with a few passes to said whiny B word receiver, but that faded quickly, and it became apparent to anyone not on the "I Hate JP/Trent/next qb?" bandwagon that it really doesn't matter who is under center, they WILL fail. Trent's upside - He has the ability to make throws when he's not running for his life - He WAS a good decision maker when the rest of the offense was performing Has he been ruined by the events of last year? possibly, but i think it's pisspoor to even look at anything that happened last year as a way to grade a player. He came in for what, one series when Fitz got hurt, and the line was so sh1tty, that he got buried and injured. I simply don't think anyone has seen what he can really do yet, PERIOD. Whoever wins the QB battle better have some improvements made to the supporting cast next year or everyone will be calling for the next guy on the bench, and saying "starting QB" sucks! It was a lot more than the QB that sucked last year, and I just don't agree with writing him off, or anyone else for that matter, well except for FItzpatrick and JP Losman when he was here, Fitz is a backup at best, and JP was a turnover machine. I'm willing to give him a chance to succeed for 2 reasons, 1, he's the best choice on the roster at the moment, and they have not made any changes this offseason, and 2. I haven't see him play any games last year where I thought he was put in position to succeed, except for the opener, and I really think that game-plan was the product of Turk.
  20. I'm not familiar with the reference, but it sounds funny. I was actually paraphrasing a little Bruce Willis from an old 80's tv show. Love the Rick Flair avatar
  21. Hey, anything can happen, and you're prediction is probably more correct than mine, but I'll just say that it seems more likely that with a healthier team next year, and some bolstering of a few positions, and a coach that doesn't resemble skeletor, it's not too hard to imagine 7-9, 8-8, or even..... dare i say it.... 9-7. Take a look at last year, that poorly coached team literally threw 3 games away, and I think this years team has the potential to be much better than last years squad. I'm at the very least interested in this upcoming season where last year i knew this team was going to tank, called a 5-11 finish on this board somewhere, and was not far off. The dismissal of jauron alone gives me hope, even if the roster stood at the same group as last year.
  22. I still contend that there is NO WAY this team, or any team for that matter can be worse than a Dick Jauron coached team. Simply not mathematically possible. I would not have been surprised if Dick Jauron would have taken a knee by mistake on a last drive in a come-from-behind game. I look at it very simply: Bears do Bear stuff Bees do Bee stuff Dick Jauron loses games Hell, this guy couldn't even win as many games in a season as Kay frickin Stephenson. Lets all agree that this season coming up has the potential to be fun to watch at times, but lets not get crazy about a playoff run, although the 19-0 prediction gave me a good laugh.
  23. I don't see this upcoming season quite so grim, and I can be very pessimistic about the Bills at times, and even lowered my expectations for the guys on the ice too. Can you blame anyone around here, 90 sports seasons combined, and no Cup, and no Lombardi trophy, but I don't see this team losing as many games as last year, simply due to athlete conditioning, it has to get better with dickie-poo gone, and possibly least-mode relegated to towel boy. I'm not going to pick which games they'll win, but 9-7 isn't so hard to believe, and I think Trent is just cautious enough to get this team to that record, but his lack of aggressiveness in his game will never get you any further(See Chad Pennington). I really don't give 2 watery sh1ts what Miami and the Jets have done in the off-season, if some of these players they have added were worth anything, they would have been retained(See every piece of washed up crap obtained from the insanely over-rated Chargers) Hey, maybe I've lowered my expectations due to the mind numbing dickie-poo era, but i think better coaching decisions by a better coaching staff, better game-time preparation, and some infusion of talent, this team cannot possibly be worse than last year. Lets not blow the very fortunate season the Jets had last year out of proportion, they simply aren't exactly that good, and I don't see them as the team to beat in our division at all. They'll be tough, just like last year, but I don't see them as better, and Miami, come on. If everyone thinks we can't win without a high caliber QB, what makes everyone around here think Miami will with their Bum? That's my take, and yes I was still wishing we would have hired Cowher, but that ship has sailed.
  24. This is exactly what I have been thinking recently. I know the team currently has Fred jackson, and with a young elite level RB on the roster who just might gain yards instead of dancing behind the line(leastmode), in my opinion, makes the #9 pick the best 1st round pick in years due to the potential of having an immediate impact. Unless there's a 1 or 2 rated pass rusher or O-linemen on the board, I think it's risky to draft one of these QBs this high. Spiller at #9 makes this pick very relevant, and incase anyone hasn't noticed, thre really hasn't been a top takent RB in Buffalo since Thurman left town. Dump Marshawn to a team with a need for a dancer who like to run into tacklers, get some picks out of the deal, and make the most of them.
  25. No thanks, we already have a roster full of poor decision QBs. Picking up a retread QB is like saying you are not capable of developing or picking one yourself. Drew Brees doesn't count, and neither does Steve Young. Campbell may honestly be better than any of the guys currently on the team, and I'll give anyone on here that arguement, but I sure as hell don't want to give anything away in the draft for a stop-gap QB. Pass.
