  1. Rob Johnson, Matt Schaub, and The no name in Arizona that came from Philly all say hello with thier multi million dollar contracts and high draft pick trades. And none if them did anything before the trades. They are all no different than Flynn and they all took premium draft picks.

I can't believe Flynn's stock is all that high at this point. He was a 7th round pick who signed a big contract and lost a preseason position battle to a rookie. Johnson, Schaub, and Kolb were all higher picks (4, 3, 2) and more highly regarded coming out of college. He's still basically unknown and his salary goes up the next two years of his contract. I'm sure Seattle doesn't want to pay him 6 and 8 million the next two years to be the backup. Unless they are able to convince teams that one game two years ago was worth it, I'd be surprised if Seattle is able to get a high pick for him at this point. If they ask for that you say no.

If Green Bay was trying to trade him after last year I might agree, but with his stock falling I don't think anyone will be willing to give up a high pick for him now.

  2. Who says your not giving up that much for him? In your hypothetical BS scenario, your trading for Flynn for what? A pack of gum and a Pepsi? The Seahawks put a lot out there for Flynn. IF... And it's a HUGE IF... Anyone was interested in Flynn, they will pay a premium. Probably a 2nd or 3rd rounder. And regardless what anyone says, that much for a guy that's played in just one or a few games is a lot. It IS absolutely just like Rob Johnson on regards to the trade for a guy that's done NOTHING.

What? Why would anyone have to pay a premium? Tim Tebow was traded with a 7th round pick for a 4th rounder and some cash in the offseason coming off a year in which he won a playoff game as the starting QB. Flynn's value isn't going to be that high. If Seattle wanted too much in return for him after he lost out to a rookie and is making $6 million, then you hang up the phone. Nobody said to get him at all cost because he is obviously the answer.

  3. Yeah and he got beat out by a 3rd round rookie. Trading for Flynn=The Rob Johnson trade IMO

How is it Rob Johnson? He's not going to cost a 1st and a 4th and the Bills wouldn't have to immediately sign him to a big contract before he played a down. If Seattle wants to get rid of him he's not going to cost that much. It's possible Seattle has confidence in him as a backup though and wants to keep him.

  4. It's like some of you don't even care about the culture of winning that Chan is creating here at all. Is there a petition to get Chan a contract extension?

Chan will get another year, and, I guess I can support that decision. He is light years better than Jauron. You all need to think back....to that worse time.

LIGHT YEARS. As long as you don't look at records.

  5. As everyone else has said, the overall talent is a lot better. Our defense is getting very close to being shutdown and on offense we have one of the best backs in the league as well as a better O-line than we've has in the last 10 years which IMO is one of the biggest improvements.

The Bills have looked adequate against awful teams. The defense couldn't get off the field when it mattered against the Rams today. They are not "very close to being shutdown." This schedule is the easiest one the Bills have had in years or will have in the near future and they completely blew it.

  6. I don't cheer for the team to lose, but if the Bills go 9-7 beating only .500 or sub .500 teams and bring everybody back that "winning atmosphere" isn't going to matter too much when they have a much harder schedule next year. If this group can't make the playoffs this year then they never will. Move on. If losing out is the only way to make that happen then it's best for everybody. Other teams have shown that you don't need 3-4 years to rebuild if you do it right. This idea that we have to keep a terrible GM and coach because hiring a good GM and coach will somehow set the team back is ludicrous. Obviously they'd have to lose out AND hire the right people which is easier said than done, but I'd rather take that chance than settle for mediocrity masquerading as progress.

Actually considering the QB class coming this year maybe it's best that they do win out and bring everybody back next year, because this group of guys going and that schedule might actually put the team in position to finally get a QB next year.
