  1. but is anyone else hoping that they keep using the no huddle? They looked a lot better in it this week than last week, and despite the first stringers not being able to convert for a TD we moved the ball well, and won the battles for TOP. Trent seems capable of making good decisions, and showed that he could chuck the ball (that early deep pass to Evans), pick apart defenses for short gains, show consistency (going 10/10. Can't really complain there) and showing he knows when to run (what beautiful play on 4th and 1) I know my optimism gets the best of me every preseason, but even without T.O. we did relatively well against a more defensive team.
  2. I REALLY hope that we keep Roscoe. Hell, I wish that we used him more at WR too. The man is an insane punt returner, as is dynamite once the ball is (firmly) lodged in his hands. Did anyone see our punt and kick returns last night? I know that we didn't want to put the starters in, but it sucked pretty hard. The Bears, NOT a team known for their special teams had a better night. Jenkins? No offense, but WTF? He's a special teams player like Roscoe, only not nearly as important. Also, remember that T.O.'s contract expires at this season. As he's usually poison after the first year, we can trade him off and get 10 million to play with.
  3. Look, the man did some pretty sick s t. I am not going to deny that. If Vick had done those things to people, he would be sitting in Old Sparky. Hell, anyone would. So, understand that I in no way condone his actions. But seriously. The man was caught, was prosecuted, served time and was released. He's paid his debt to society. The Eagles can dump him at any time before the season without giving him a red cent. Wherever he goes, this is going to hang over him. He's going to have PETA swarming everywhere he goes. That's the real punishment.
  4. I wasn't jumping for joy, especially when Trent got nailed from behind on that one sack. That said, definate progress. They looked a lot better than last week and seemed to be more comfortable with the no huddle offense.
  5. I'm going to have to side with you on this. I have come around to see Trent as the QB of the future and J.P. did make a number of stupid mistakes. Still, he looked decent. However, with our defense hemmorgaing points and yards like it did there was practically no chance for us to win, even if Trent had been uninjured.
  6. OK the touchdown pass and the sneak erase the delay of game and fumble. I'm still nervous though.
  7. Let's not forget: this is the team that the JETS put 56 points on. The -ing jets. It might have been just a bad game while the Cards were on the road but I'm more worried about our defense when we're short one CB.
  8. I'll admit, I was a skeptic too. But after watching some of those deep bombs to Evans and how they seem to perfectly float over his shoulder...
  9. Umm...not sure about the correlation here.
  10. Because I don't have a daughter I have to agree with the Dean on this one. If I'm ever caught in the act by my girlfriend's parents I sure as hell want them beating me over the head with a pipe. That said, I don't plan on sleeping with anyone under the age of consent. If an underage girl's father found a 20 something guy with her I would agree. As this doesn't seem to be the case I have to disagree.
  11. I agree. If we go 6-0 then there's no doubt that the team is something to be feared. Even if we split our next two games we're still in good shape. However, I do think that there is reason to be concerned. The fact of the matter is that we were down in the fourth quarter against two of the worst teams in the NFL, no matter what the point differential at the end was.
  12. seems we're a second half team Now that I think about it we've done our best play in the second half. Am I the only one who finds when the Bills do better when they're not watching?
  13. I think we're giving it to them with dumb mistakes and penalties.
  14. Seriously, what the hell is up with Peters? He really expected a new contract when he chokes at a time like that?
  15. Sadly, I have to agree with you. I think Bills fans have a history of having unreasonable expectations from the get go. I certainly think that Hardy will be a good reciever, but he's still a rookie. You have to expect some changes and that things will not be perfect. That said, I am looking forward to see him in the slot and in the red zone more.
  16. My God this man is a dickweed. I can put up with him dissing the Bills, I really can. We do it all the time on here and I think there's a general consensus that trashtalking a team is acceptable. Trashtalking a city however... Whatever you feel about the Toronto games, we continue to sell out games well into December in an open air stadium. We continue to support them, even at our bleakest moments. I think he's going to get trolled pretty damn hard.
  17. See the Miami vs NE game for more details. Still, picking the RAMS to beat us? That's more insulting than losing to the Raiders, who he predicted we'd beat. You can say what you want about how it's a road game and SL will have their backs against the wall. DJ has said that they won't lose sight of the game but you know that everyone is thinking of how the Rams have the highest point differential in the league...and not in a good way. They're currently considered the worst team in the league right now. That's why I feel insulted.
  18. Ok, which of the three wise men: Jim, Jack or Jose? Roscoe is quick and is a great returnman. I like Hardy (especially after that end zone catch) and he should be able to fill in until roscoe is back but I'll be happy when he comes back.
  19. Well, we did cut it close against a team we should have beat by nine points.
  20. Umm, if you really want to. Personally, I'm happy to have someone pulling for us. Last year I think he liked Marshawn and he seemed to like Trent but respect is nice.
  21. Ahem. f ing sh-t faced c sucker who with his own mother and the f ing who f:censored:d the . Good luck to Hardy and McKelvin.
  22. Hmm, let's have Mort line up against Stroud to see if he's overrated.
  23. We played exactly like we would have last year up to the fourth quarter. Then we did exactly what we needed to do. I agree that we should have blown them out, but we had several hard knocks (that idiotic INT call) and strokes of bad luck (fumbles) and we still managed to pull one away. The only troubling thing is what will happen when we play against a team better than the Raiders.
  24. Thank you for saying exactly what I was thinking.
