I doubt Beane is staying put at #33. He has probably been comparing trade packages all day.
He might stay, he has absolutely been hearing trade offers

I think we would all be thrilled to land Franklin anywhere in the second round.
Hear hear.
He is my first choice of the remaining options

You draft safetys late, not at #33 when you NEED a WR.
Ahh yes, who can forget the late round value of Damar Hamlin, Cam Lewis, Duke Williams, Jonathan Meeks and Da,Norris Seacry.
Safety is luxury pick right until the moment your CBs suddenly have zero help.

I'm ready to be booed:
Take Cooper DeJean at 33.
Our safety group, while less important than our WRs, is in terrible shape. DeJean would almost for sure start immediately and in a pinch could be kicked back outside to replace Douglas in a year.
I WANT WR more, but with the assets in play I am considerably more confident that Beane can move up to the top of the 2nd and get someone I would have been fine with us taking at 28 (Franklin, McConkey and AD Mitchell all qualify for me)
-
One thing to consider as I mulled overnight as to why 33 instead of 32: Beane now has 17 hours between rounds. If he can go up 1-2 and get DeJean AND a WR with a pick or two I'd be over the moon

I'll put it this way: if you told me going in tonight that the Bills got a 3rd and 5th rounder to go to pick 33, with their choice of Franklin, McConkey and Mitchell, all of whom I would have been fine with at 28, I'd say Beane is working the draft just fine

Trade baaaaaaack

At this point, by the time the Bills get to pick there will be 5-6 WRs who all have *some* warts.
Trade back. Get a third

Ugh. Trade back.

...there is a legit chance BTJ is there without moving up

Looks like the run on defense is starting

Mini getting back in?

Broken neck guy is the first defensive player off the board. Too risky for my appetite.
My surprise was that Dallas Turner was still there

DE becoming a real possibility at 28. Please let picks 15-27 be defense!
As much as I want WR, if the Bills get the first DE off the board who was supposed to go 10-15 I can live with that

Don't me shocked if an amazing defensive player drops to 28 and Beane is tempted
-

I'm amazed how long they are taking for the picks. So far it's been the most predictable. Not on me should be shocked so far
-
So far it's going as everyone predicted

If we get Odunze, I will wince at the cost and then start cheering

Yeah I'm not trading up for Worthy.
He's not worthy
Pun aside, I can come to terms with nearly any WR taken at 28 but I am only trading up for the big three, BTJ, maybe Franklin or Adonai Mitchell
