  1. I don't read Peter King anymore and haven't for several years because his opinions are the equivalent of throwing darts at a board. I am over it.
  2. There's an earlier thread based on this prediction. Read the comments to the story -- nobody is buying that argument
  3. Makes sense. The agent needs his percentage of the players' salary in order to buy his new Ferrari or pay for his wife's latest plastic surgery, so let him do the leg work. That very well could be. In fact, didn't Ralph Wilson slip Al Davis $500K or so to keep the Oakland Raiders afloat way back when. I don't think any teams will be doing each other favors today with the new breed of owners like Dan Snyder and Jerry Jones
  4. I haven't read Peter King in a couple of years, mostly because I didn't think I was getting anything I couldn't get elsewhere. That's just me, tho.
  5. Considering he's considered to be one of the "best" at his craft, you would think that his opinions are informed opinions and not just smoke coming out of his butt.
  6. Here's the logical explanation: Lynch and Jackson are both coming off of injuries, and Spiller is healthy. Here's my personal take: Lynch/Jackson are trade bait.
  7. Damn, I wish Bob Kraft had listened to that big tub of goo.
  8. That's it in a nutshell. Bob summed it up well. There is no secret handshake involved, just a lot of networking that goes on ever day. Word gets out that Rosenfels is available .. you have 31 other GMs who look at their rosters and say, "Gee I already have a mediocre backup, but thanks anyway."
  9. Truth be told -- I haven't read Peter King in the past two years. Sounds like I'm not missing much. However, I do miss SI's Dr. Z. Anyone know if he ever recovered from whatever it was that laid him low? . Sounded pretty bad at the time. I honestly believe he was the best football writer we'll ever see in our lifetimes.
  10. This link is an Onion item about a Packers' fan, but I think there are parallels to Bills' fans. Packers fan Announces He Will Return to Drinking for Another Season
  11. No. Either No. 3 or gone. Chan Gailey or Buddy Nix don't reveal their innermost thoughts to me, but I'm not sure they are all that comfortable with the current QB roster. I'm of the opinion that next year is the year they seek a true and legitimate upgrade to the QB position.
  12. Not surprised -- However, I will be surprised if he's still the No. 2 next year (and Trent Edwards is not part of this equation. Regardless of what happens with Trent, I don't expect the current braintrust to stand pat with the current QB lineup).
  13. OU -- that's a real quarterback factory for the NFL. And Troy Aikman doesn't count because he transferred to UCLA
  14. Maybe we need to take a step back and take a deep breath. The Onion is a humor site. The headline comes into clearer focus if you look at it from that point of view
  15. From what little I've seen of the Bills in preseason, Chan Gailey has been our upgrade at QB.
  16. and maybe one unsportsmanlike conduct penalty?
  17. Dan Snyder has been spending money like a drunken sailor trying to put together a team for a fantasy league. That strategy hasn't done much for the Washington NFL franchise with the racist nickname the last 10 years.
  18. Maybe they consider throwing a pass to Roscoe Parrish a gadget play?
  19. That was my point. I want to hear the explanations, because those of us who have been paying attention will know it's pure BS. Is it immature, sure. But I srill would love to hear these so-called experts twist their logic into pretzel shapes trying to explain the situation.
  20. I think that used to be Dan Snyder's strategy in Washington.
  21. The NY Times preview of the upcoming season hews to conventional wisdom that the Bills will stumble into last place in the AFC East: "With the rest of the division in the playoff mix, it is going to be a long, cold winter in Buffalo." However, while poking around the Times' website, I came across the following comments from a Jan. 19 story that quotes non-other than the Buffalo News' own Jerry Sullivan: "Really? Chan Gailey. It’s an uninspiring pick, and if my math is correct, about their eighth choice. But after seeing the Bills snubbed by football coaches from sea to shining sea, it’s a relief to know the search might finally come to an end, before the organization can embarrass itself further." I didn't provide a link to the Sullivan column because it's no longer an active link. I really hope the Bills do well this season -- I want to sees the "experts" try to explain that.
