Ryan Mallett Sucks - Exhibit A: Aaron Murray
High Mark replied to ajzepp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say what you just said all the time. If you react to the play you are already too late. Far too often Mallet has brain faarts and is left standing in the pocket pump faking. Also, his accuracy is just plain bad. Swinging tire at 30 yards? Mallet would be lucky to hit the tree the tire is swinging from You brought up Losman which is funny, every time I watch Mallet I cannot keep images of Losman out of my head....They are like the same player. -
anyone watching Stanford vs Cal ?
High Mark replied to drinkTHEkoolaid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think this is a very strong class at all. Luck is the only good one I see and who knows, he may not come out. Last years was better for sure, whats that tell you. -

Im sorry but Mallet just isnt very good. He reacts too slowly and is simply too innaccurate. He never anticipates a route and is horribly horribly immobile. Figuring that the Bills **should** be able to draft starters at OL/DL/LB in rounds 2 and 3, I wouldnt consider Mallet until round 4. I just dont see him being good and would prefer a starting G over him. -
What Pick Will the Bills Have?
High Mark replied to Geno Smith's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Carolina, Bungals, maybe 1 more could finish under us. Dallas will not finsih below us. Det may, Ariz wont. Det is better than their record (as are teh Bills) so hopefully they find a few wins. and the Cards ar at 3 wins already and play Carolina, Dal, SF twice, and St Louis. 2 or 3 is realistic. I think we are poised to pick 2 unless we get a few wins Im not expecting. I say if Luck declares we trade up with Carolina/whoever is #1 for the pick and make it a done deal in Feb. -
Who the F cares what he weighs. P Willis isnt much over 240. Spikes was never much over 240. L. Timmons is smaller. Just because Maybin sucks and happens to be a tiny little biitch doesnt mean this guy isnt good because he is a true 240. Dude can play - its too bad we dont have 5 first round picks so we could get all these guys.

Andrew Luck But really, wanna know why the Bills need to draft 1 or 2... just look at last yeras draft. I remember news breaking post draft that the Bills had Spiller as 3rd on their board (pressumably behind Bradford and Suh) - does anyone else remember hearing tht speculation? I also remember them saying they liked 2 LTs who they thought where worth the pick, but if Spiller was ranked third they still would have taken him over the LTs, not to mention Gerald McCoy and Rolanda McClain and all the other guys we passed over (Bulaga, Iupati, D. Bryant, B Grahm, D Morgan, JPP)... Well, what more do you need? Spiller over multiple stud OL/DL/LBs??? Gimme a break, can we really be that dumb? The answer is YES! We need to idiot proof this draft if we want to get an above average starter - IDIOT PROOF!!!

Kellen Moore watch. Boise State tonight
High Mark replied to drinkTHEkoolaid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, IMO, he cannot make all the throws, weak arm, not very accurate at all, not good pocket presence, decision making is ok. He just doesnt physically qualify for the NFL. -

ESPN 2 at 930 I dont think he is much of an NFL prospect. Def not this year. -
Actually, the key to the draft is selecting good players with your picks, regardless of what picks you have - thats what good teams do. That said, what makes you think the Bills will select a great player if they draft between say, 9-11? I'll help you out, they wont. We as fans need to hope that the Bills top pick is as COMPLETELY IDIOT PROOF AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! What better way than to pick #1 overall and hope Luck declares?
-
Why would you root those teams even if it would help the Bills if they won? Cut off your nose in spite of your face? I hate those teams too but I like the Bill more.
-
Here is my quarrel with this perdiciment, you do not define LOSE. Do you mean lose the game this weekend? Lose every game this year? Lose the race to the playoffs in all future season? Lose for 10 years? What? I dont root for the team to lose, I root for them to win. But I define win as long term success and sustainability - not the short sighted "win this week". IMHO, I truely feel the Bills best way to achieve said long term success and sustainability is to add Andrew Luck in the offeaseon. Ironically though, that means I want them to lose seven more games this season because we will need that top pick in the draft and some luck to add Luck. Ironically I think the best thing that could happen to the Bills is have them lose out, and at the end of the day, I want the Bills to be better.

Jake Locker and Washington VS UCLA on ESPN Now......
High Mark replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guys, Locker STUNK last year, he “benefited” from the same ball washing Tan McShay was giving to Jevon Snead the year prior. Sorry but he never was any good, this is nothing new. That doesn’t mean we wont draft him with our top pick though. -
Positional Needs for November Needed
High Mark replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude, its November. No one knows if he is going to declare or not – not you not me not even Luck himself. Even if he has made up his mind he has 2 months to change it if he so pleases- how many times have we heard that flip flop. This is draft day speculation in November. What would it look like if all the talented underclassmen – the guys who make or break a draft class each and every season – are not in the discussion? Fairley is an underclassmen too, so is Mallet, should we not discuss any of those guys too? We’d be left with 2nd rounder’s in the top 10 without discussing any underclassmen. If you are so fed up with the Luck discussion feel free to not comment in every one of the threads his name appears. -
Positional Needs for November Needed
High Mark replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As far as needs go, TE needs to be on the list – Much larger need than WR. With Lee, Stevie, Parrish, and Nelson at WR I think we have plenty of young talent at the position. Our passing game lacks a presence at TE - we have nothing at TE. C also needs to be on the list. Hangman was one of if not the worst C in the league last year, lets not forget that. This year he still isn’t great, he needs to be replaced if we want to beat the 3-4 teams in our division with their great NTs RT should be higher than LT. I know that the importance of the LT position is higher, but we have a bunch of table scraps at RT with a different played starting each week. DBell has been ok at LT. RT is our biggest OL need, followed by C, then LT IMO. PS I like the top of the draft and I think its accurate. Luck is the top pick if he declares and I really like a guy like Fairley if we cant add Luck. -
wow I just looked at other temas, these are awful. No way these are accepted.

better than what we have but nothing t like the '64s

Dude, we had 2 pages of debating in that link, where I and other posters clearly supported Luck and you argued against us? I said I liked him for XY and Z and you said I couldn't possibly know that bc he hadn't played enough games. How is that not questioning him? When I am pro Luck, and you take a stand opposite me, where does that put you? I even got my first PM ever because of it. In 2-3 years on this board I got my first PM about you and how you were responding negatively. Now you're quoted calling him a "gifted QB" and someone "who may very well turn into a great NFL QB some day" So what is it? Is he a gifted QB or a guy no one has seen enough of to even form an accurate opinion? On top of that you are now making assumptions Nix wouldn't draft him bc of his # of starts, and are claiming to know with all certainty he wont be in the draft until 2012. Oh, and you now like a guy - Mallet - who also hasn't had 30-35 starts, AND who is equally likely to enter this draft than Luck (bc he is not as good, which will be revealed by that advisory committee). Model of consistency? Senator, you are flip flopping more than former President hopeful Al Gore.

Local Albany/Schenectady TV station disses the Bills
High Mark replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think NY should be paying any money for the stadium operating in a multi billion dollar industry, thats not the role of government. I also dont think the state should be taxing its citizens either, or reward laziness by operating a huge welfare state. I guess you cant have one without the other....? -
The official the O-Line does not suck anymore thread
High Mark replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok so wood and Levitre look like very solid young guys, and Bell has played ok, but we employ the worst RTs in the league, have a center who is near the bottom of the barrel. Id say we still need 2 new starters minimum. 3/5 gets us to 60% best case scenario -
Don’t worry guys, the Senator seems to hate Luck because A) people think he is good, and B) he hasn’t played enough games to possibly considered good. I’m still waiting for him to come up with an objective reason for his hatred in all of the other Luck threads. PS Senator comparing a sports writers comments to ones said about Clausen are not objective to Luck.

What makes Buffalo appealing to Luck
High Mark replied to DC Grid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
$55 Million -
Are you really surprised? Every single year pre draft there is a QB being touted as going #1 overall and being a sure thing, regardless of who that player is. Every single year – so this year its Luck (whether its warranted is a different argument) It was Snead three years ago – he wasn’t even drafted and is not even in the league. Stafford the next year – who eventually went #1. Last year was Locker, who didn’t declare and is more of a 3rd rounder or later anyways. Once he was out it was Bradford. Doesn’t matter who it is really, some Qb will be touted in this way.

Wood is 3rd ranked run-blocker in NFL
High Mark replied to Damian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How do they know its not Green/Howard/Crotto that’s dominating the right side…. Wood really is my favorite player.
