  2. He is a glorified blogger who has no more credibility as an evaluator than you or I.
  3. By "all over the league" do you mean "Drag route" The Pats O is all screen passes and dump offs with the occassional bomb. Trent would excell in their O. I dont know why the NFL has not realized this.
  4. Id rather HAVE Snyder butting in. We'd have guys like Orakpo, Haynesworth, and Fletcher around if he did.
  5. They count DC as a state? Thats odd considering its not a state.....
  6. When did he get hurt? I dont remember him leaving the KC game? I think this team just IRs guys for the extra roster spot. And now we will see Icongnito - aka been on the roster since Thursday - starting. What a joke. PS I was fairly impressed with Simmons after he got his feet under him.
  7. Since when are there 51 states?
  8. Spartacus for GM
  9. Our secondary is great without McKelvin - so why exactly do we need him? McGee, Florence, McKelvin, Corner, Whitner, Scott, Wilson, and Byrd. How many DBs can a team even keep on the roster? You could count Youboty too if you really wanted to stay cheap. Either Whitner or McKelvin should/could be removed from that list. Corner IMO is the worst but when factoring in $$$ it has to be one of those two I mentioned.
  10. 1998 #1 pick Peyton Manning, #2 Ryan Leaf One draft slot can be a BIG thing. Just as the 14-0 Colts.
  11. Clausen will never be a Bill You can decide for yourself if that is a pro or con.
  12. I agree - that play was much more impressive to me than his pick. He did everything right except catch the ball - Bad call too.
  13. have you watched the last few games, Fewell sucks - but just a little less than Juaron.
  14. I wouldnt say that. His best game was his first game he started, and went downhill from there. A real coach could have groomed him into a good QB. NE could have went 11-5 with him last year too.
  15. Played great fr a 5th round rookie making his first start IMO. Had a few of strong tackles in the gap - two I remember the TV announcers named the wrong player. Good to see him in there.
  16. F the government. Just leave us all alone already.
  17. He slowed down to get a better angle on the defender... did you want him to sprint straight into the DB and get tackled right away?
  18. How is it that Bill Polian built the best teams in the NFL everywhere he has been? The draft is most certainly not a crap shoot like everyone says it is. Anyone with an eye for talent who does their due diligence will be successful 80-90% of the time. Ive never heard Mike Mayock miss on a prospect, but idiots like Kiper and Modrak miss all the time. Its all about who is running your draft room - not art, science, or luck.
  19. McGee>Florence>McKelvin I get your point. You need a nickle DB more than your need a 3rd LB this day and age because he is on the field more. The way we use our three safeties, we really only need the two top CBs. Corner/Youboty are fine dime guys. IMO id rather just keep him and our strong secondary, but if he can give us a starting caliber OL or DL I wouldnt miss him.
  20. Before this season, whenever I saw a tipped ball get picked, I just thought O thats a lucky play. Byrd ahs had 6-7 of those this year. He cant just be lucky, can he? He always is over the top of the ball, but for it to be tipped to an area on the field he can get it is just nuts. I mean his pick vrs the Browns he was torched for a would be TD but the ball was thrown 10 yards inside (I was sitting 20 rows up in that corner of the field) and he was barely able to get there. That was not impressive IMO. His other pick where he out leaped Braylon Edwards vrs the Jets was one of the best picks in recent Bills memory. I dont know what to make of all the tipped balls though. One side of me thinks he is having the luck of a once in a career type season, the other thinks he is just always around the ball. I guess Im just not sure he is a complete play maker just yet - even though he has the production to be considered one. I sure hope he is, thats for sure.
  21. I could throw with my left foot and be better than Russel
  22. Who is Quic Nic?
  23. Bills proved to be fairly big idiots by passing on the completely obvious best pass rusher/DE in the draft AND the best LT available who would not have been a reach at 11 by any means as he no doubt should have went before A.Smith and maybe even E. Monroe depending on who you talk to. Levitre has been very solid but as I remember there were other G prospects rated higher then him who I have heard have played well for other teams. The guys from Wisconsin (Ubrick?) comes to mind - he starts for the Steelers I think and the Texas Tech Vasques who starts for the Chargers come to mind. We could have landed one of those two without trading up. The Bills had a solid draft - but in the NFL you have to be near perfect. Landing guys like Wood Byrd Harris and Nelson are what you have to do every season - but you can not miss with your top pick ie Maybin - I dont have to wait 3 years to tell you he will never be as good as Orakpo or Oher - or waste picks trading up for guys who may not warrant the trade up (this has been argued of the Poz pick as well). The Bills can never make up any ground on the top teir teams because for as many gems they find (McGee, Butler, K.Williams) they blow what should be the sure fire picks (M.Williams Losman, McGahee, Maybin).
  24. From NFL.coms game recap: " Game ball Redskins rookie Brian Orakpo had his way with Oakland's overmatched offensive tackles, finishing with a career-high four sacks and a forced fumble. His pressure wore down the Raiders and rendered their offense completely ineffective in the second half." Just imagine the type of INTS this team would be producing if we had a rookie DE stud to rush the passer - now has 11 sacks in 13 games.... Man, as if many on this board didn't see that coming. While it looks like we got lucky with Byrd, we really missed the boat passing on Orakpo or even Oher. If you want to reply with "3 years to develop" please instead just wait three years to read this post.
