  1. he is smart enough to design each week's game plan to exploit his opponent's weaknesses. in the past the Bills had a weak interior OL - the Pats brought pressure there consistently and destroyed any continuity in the Bills offense I'm sure they will test the rookies early and often - but will also be mixing in plenty of pressure against our "nimble" LT. Too bad the gameplan that Bellicheat lays out will be used in the remaining 15 games by everyone else as well.
  2. you are right why would they be concerned when the Bills traded away an elite Pro Bowl LT and replaced him with a slow fat guy that can't handle speed rushers. no concern either that every position on the OL will be someone new - with very little to no NFL experience the OL will be different, but whether it is improved when the season starts remains to be seen - especially to an extent capable of running a no huddle offense.
  3. this is true - which is why Walker at LT will be an adventure The Bills will have to commit 3 players to stop the rush from the RE/RLB on most pass plays Even using TEs & RBs will not work effectively because they aren't good enough blockers to do anything more than chip away at teh DE while engaged with the LT. Looking at just the sacks Walker gave up is misleading because the QB can see the rusher coming from the right side and avoid the sack - but the play is still disrupted. the lookout block will be featured quite a bit this year.
  4. Derrick Brooks also says "I got skills" or maybe that was Tim Hardaway either way, Brooks has skills and speed to offset his smaller size Pizza Boy has nothing but a blown out ACL
  5. Buffet is not paying any cash upfront. he has to perform 2 concerts at the stadium and the Fins keep the proceeds. pretty good deal for Buffet as his Landshark brand will get mucho pub during the Super Bowl.
  6. LT- will be much worse than last year. not to mention the Bills will have to commit 3 players (LT,TE RB) to protect Trent;s blind side instead of 1 LT. for as fat as he is, Walker gets no push in the run game, so that will be a downgrade as well. Walker will be gone next year. LG- Dockery may not have played to his contract value, but he was far better than what the Bills have plugged in at LG since Ruben Brown left. Remains to be seen how quickly a rookie will produce at a high enough level to improve over last year. Run blocking may be a push, but there will be some jailbreaks caused by rookie inexperience. C- should be an improvement for the Bills - but Hangertner was not sought after and did not get a huge contract, which may indicate the rest of the league thinks he is nothing more than a part time starter and mutlti-position backup. RG - RT- Butler will be no worse than Walker but will be doing it on an island as all the help will going to Walker
  7. hey- it's tough to win in the NFL
  8. 230 lbs for an NFL LB is too small - as evidenced by the Bills consistent inability to stop the run. only in Bizarro Bills world do they utilze DB sized players at LB and DE. For playing at 230 lb, he is too slow. For the weight he is giving up, he needs to make it up with superior speed. and that average speed you refer to was before he blew out his ACL. It is questionable whether he would even make another roster in the NFL
  9. yeah - he was really trashing that highly motivated Pro Bowl defense, the one that is not allowed to blitz or tackle with 2 hands.
  10. not sure how the Bills 6 wins will get them into the playoffs
  11. no the pizza boy is not an NFL caliber LB he is too small and too slow The fact that he is mentioned as a possible starter proves how bad the Bills LBs are.
  12. you are correct. this announcement is another marketing ploy to hype the team for the sole purpose of selling tickets and merchandise. maybe it's also to keep TO's head from exploding as the OL gets totally replaced. it has nothing to do with the ultra conservative crap Dick will use on gameday.
  13. well they would not be on the field so much if they did not give up 90 yd 8 minute drives. they can't stop the run which is the root of all that is evil Maybin will never get on field due to that deficiency
  14. Butler will be fine at RT The Bills will spend all season committing a TE and RB to protect Walker at LT - so the offense will be limited. Expect Walker and his bloated contract to be replaced next year
  15. I am still waiting for Lynch to hit the hole that is being blocked. The guy has consistently shown that he is unable or too lazy to learn the playbook.
  16. team could not stop the run last year and they did not add anybody to fix the problem same scheme no big DT no big LB added only a midget DE and a SS to be converted into a midget LB
  17. I did not know he was a gun toting thug - -
  18. sort of like starting and sticking with a one legged CB even though he is continually getting toasted by an overhyped WR when you have a healthy 1st rounder riding the pine. The problem is the coaches and front office have zereo ability to evaluate talent - whether its on their own team, college players or pro free agents. they did not know what they had in Fred Jackson and still don;t realize his worth as evidenced by jerking him on his contract Jabari Greer is another player they grossly undervalued and did not sign when they had the chance.
  19. One TE will permanently affixed to Walkers hip to try to slow down the speed rushers any TE pass plays will require a 2nd TE in the game to run the seam. Hardy's role as the tall WR will be taken over by Nelson since he can do more than just be tall.
  20. you are incorrect. Trent played horrible early after hardy hung him out to dry on the first pick. However, he got his act together and was playing good enough to deep them in the game and move the team. they shattered his confidence for the rest of the year by deflating the ball at the end of the game and settling for a very hard kick into the wind. Dick took a playoff team at 5-1 and somehow managed to go 2-8. It's tough to win in the NFL - but even harder when Dick is your coach.
  21. before playing games with your TE, you need an offenisve line that does not get manhandled. based on how they gutted the OL before the draft and what they did, there is no way the Bills would have drafted Pettigrew if he had dropped to #28.
  22. the challenge, as it has been for a decade, is stopping the run on 1st and 2nd down to get to a passing situation where Maybin can be turned loose.
  23. It's not Dick's fault It's tough to win in the NFL
  24. list him at whatever you want he played at 225 in the Rose Bowl he needs to add muscle and keep the speed at the higher weight for him to be effective at all, Fewell has to gameplan to take advantage of his speed and hide his size. hopefully the D coaches have more of a clue than what the offensive coaches did to exploit Parrish's skills
  25. that's worked well for the last 15 years
