  1. try google you may have heard of it
  2. no mystery Chan drafted him with the intent of running a spread option offense where he would do very little blocking. However, that plan was scrapped when Denver outfoxed them in getting Tebow. Why do you thing Ralph blew a gasket when Denver made its pick. Now it's on to tanking the season so they can draft their QB next year.
  3. of course that's what you heard - the Bills were playing it close to the vest and not exactly advertising their intentions to try to avoid what happened. but hey - believe what ever official spin the Bills put out
  4. you must have missed it, but Kelsay was trying to cover Donald Driver on one play as well. There was a third play where Kelsay was supposed to cover Finley, but did not bother. Finley was literally 20 yards beyond the defense, but Rodgers was looking to the other side
  5. Mallett looked good and had some big time plays against the Gators last year.
  6. but our coach says there is no difference between the 3 QBs. Lee must be mistaken.
  7. they will undoubtedly take the one that will bust the worst. With how Chan evaluated the current QBs, why does anyone think he has a clue what makes a good QB
  8. The Bills desperately wanted Tebow to run the spread the option offense. They got too cute and allowed Denver to trade up ahead of where they were targeting him to go. The whole plan fell apart after that - and 2010 became a tanked season to get a real QB in 2011. no way any real NFL coach/GM goes into a season with our OL with any expectation other than losing a lot of games. Either Chan and Buddy are both completely incompetent (whicn is possible) or they are tanking the season to get a top 3 draft pick.
  9. this is completely true not only did they fail to bring in much to improve the team - but they failed to simply make in expensive qualifying offers to Incognito and Scott, 2 restricted free agents who would have dramatically improved the crap we have on the OL right now. combined they would have cost less than the turnstyle- Cornell Green. The talent evaluators and scouts for this team are just horrible. Either they totally bombed on evaluating Spiller as a player - or the coaches totally crapped out in preparing the guy to play. RBs are the easiest to get involved early - but Spiller is now delegated to kick returner duties. Total failure
  10. There is no good reason for the NFL to lock-out the players . The NFL will bargain to an impasse and then impose the last proposal for use in the next season. The players would then have to choose to strike or play. Since no lock-out, the players would have to make their own decisons to give up huge amount of money to play a kid's game.
  11. the main reason Spiller is not ready for the speed of NFL's defenses is that he practiced all off-season against the slow motion defense of the Bills. another epic fail to waste another top 12 pick on a small skill player who can't make it onto the field. Top 12 picks need to be challenging for the Pro-Bowl, not competing as kick returners. Wasting the pick on a RB was bad enough, not being able to coach him up and design plays to utilize him is just criminal for this supposed offensive genius.
  12. Modrak can't be too close to Ralph since he lives in Florida full time.
  13. anti-trust laws prohibit a union from suing the employer while collectively bargaining. Thus, the union would de-certify to allow players to sue the NFL for anti-trust violations and restraint of trade caused by free agency and the draft. There is no good reason for the NFL to lock-out the players -as you state there would no games. The NFL will bargain to an impasse and then impose the last proposal for use in the next season. The players would then have to choose to strike or play. Since no lock-out, the players would have to make their own decisons to give up huge amount of money to play a kid's game.
  14. no I am suggesting that for an offensive genius and superstar GM - they failed miserably at identifying and evaluating the talent at QB and on the OL. The OL could have been improved immensely by simply keeping Incognito and Scott from last year - who were restricted free agents and under the Bills control. With Incognito at RG, Wood could have been moved to C where he belongs. Maybe spending a pick higher than a 5th rounder on the OL may have helped - Saffold would sure be an improvement at LT Pretending Green was a player worth $3 mil (and a better option than Scott )is an indictment of their talent evaluation ability. Sure the QBs all suck in Buffalo. - why did it take Chan 2 games into the season to conclude that Trent was totally useless. If they have bothered to watch film of Trent and not believe that Chan was this genius who could make Trent into a stud, they could have aggressively brought in a viable NFL player- McNabb was availabe but Buddy himself said he was not interested. Maybe they could have played Brohm and found out if he could play. Of course, the reason for not pursuing other QBs was that Chan and Buddy put all of their eggs in the Tim Tebow basket - which blew up on them when Denver aggressively moved up farther than the Bills had planned to get the guy they wanted. but hey- it wasn't Buddy and Chan's fault - they had to play the hand they were dealt With enabling fans like you, Ralph has been able to continually put out a crappy product, but sell out tickets and merchandise no questions asked.
  15. there will be no lockout the owners will bargain to an impasse and then impose the final proposal the players then will have to decide if they want to play- under a union or on their own. chances are they will cave sooner rather than later- as they always do
  16. a mess that Buddy and Chan created It's more a testament to Chan and Buddy's inability to evaluate talent at QB, on the OL, at LB epic failure on so many levels- yet the fans continue to give him a scholarship because he pulled the plug on his own handpicked selection. oh- and Tom Modrak and crackerjack scouting dept are all still employed
  17. not true was at the game after it was 6-0, the strong feeling was that the game was over. Green Bay was toying with the Bills and could have scored at will - which they did in the 2nd half. Most of the time they were rushing 3 and couldn't be stopped. Whenever they wanted they could send Mathews and get a sack. It was ugly
  18. Howard had help on most plays - which made it easy for Green Bay to run stunts to create mismatches everywhere else.
  19. but it was not Modrak's fault. he had a great list (he got it from Mel Kiper) , but nobody believed him just wait till next year when Modrak will call in his picks from Florida so he does not waste any of his retirement time
  20. so who have the Bills drafted in the 3rd round in the last 10 years who is worth a damn? Trent used to be the trendy pick, but not so much lately.
  21. he would be an improvement- but they sunk the money in Green and don't want to waste it
  22. A lockout by the owners makes absolutely no sense. That makes it too easy on the players since they have no decison to make and the owners automatically become the bad guys. there will be no lockout. The owners will bargain to an impasse and then impose the last proposal as the new rules. The players will then have to decide whether to play under the new rules or strike, but the owners will not lock them out. The NFLPA will then de-ceretify and some players will sue the league for anti-trust restraint of trade violations caused by the draft & free agency rules The longer it goes on, the more players will miss the money and the game, and cross the players strike lines to resume play under the new rules.
  23. Free agency has not impacted Polian's ability to acquire talent, by the draft or otherwise. The Bills, however, have not been as successful since relying on Mel Kiper's magazine to conduct their draft,
  24. what's he going to do in the 2nd half?
  25. he was probably hurt no worse than last year when Ted Ginn burned him for his career day.
