  1. I get what you're saying, but I think there are teams out there who place more value on Spiller than just another RB. The Free Agency pool for RB's this year was extremely thin. I would bet a team like Houston would be willing to give up a fairly good deal to land at 9 if Spiller is still there. That's of course assuming there is another team or 2 also looking to slide into that spot. My guess would be ya, there's gonna be a deal to be had, should it play out that way.
  2. You don't think there would be 3-4 teams, at least, clamoring for that spot to grab Spiller???
  3. To add to this, I'd prefer him on the sidelines tutoring Brohm/Edwards over Fitz any day of the week... to me he's an upgrade to our back up position, no matter who it is, based on experience alone. That's something we really need here, a veteran presence to help these young QB's we keep trying to throw to the wolves...
  4. I'm not a TE fan, BUT..... it would not surprise me to see him win a QB battle if the Bills shore up their OL. If he can get some protection, he could still save his career, maybe.
  5. First of all, you're out of line, and you sound like a classless !@#$. Second, The Redskins win in Free Agency every year, then they end up making tee times with Bills players. Now, go be stupid somewhere else... kthxbai.
  6. So you've watched him play then?? Strong words assuming he'll never be more than a back up. This kid has "it". And before you scramble to find out where he played College and start "youtubing" his highlights, please also look up where Big Ben, Tony Romo.... meh, forget it.
  7. I should have clarified in my post, I'm an Orlando Magic fan, not a Magic Johnson fan (although I did like Magic as a player). That was why I referenced last Sunday's game. It was one of the best games I've ever watched. I like Kobe as a player, and like I said, he's got to be 2nd or 3rd best player in the league right now. I just don't think his accomplishments or skill were quite as good as Jordans. Tough to compare because of the differences in the game, but I still lean towards MJ. Cool thread, btw. Good to see there are still some NBA fans left. Over the years, the players have diminished the Leagues repuation, but I still enjoy watching. Dwight Howard, aside from his impressive talent, is a great person and does tons for the community. He's a breath of fresh air for the League for sure.
  8. Except for last Sunday, though, right?? *is a Magic fan* Sorry, but to me Jordan was the better Basketball Player. Honestly, if I were starting a team and picking from current players, Kobe wouldn't even be my first choice, maybe not even my 2nd choice. No doubt a Hall of Famer, and also top 5 all-time, but not better than Jordan and when all is said and done, maybe not as good as Lebron either.
  9. Nice cliffnotes Inappropriate, buddy. *knows it was inappropriate to quote the whole thing, but felt it was necessary*
  10. Hope you own a flame suit.
  11. Can you play Center? Rumor has it we may have some openings... Seriously, welcome aboard!!
  12. Ya it's great, until Lynch is $20 short on the rent.....
  13. Hell to the no. And nice repost - http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=109150
  14. I hate to make this another "TE" thread, but I'm going to reply anyway. Sorry! My personal beef with TE has been his lack of trust in his WR's, at least enough so to throw them the ball and allow them to make plays. It's almost a fear, or so it appears. I don't recall ever seeing that in Manning (Eli) or Brees. Like you say, though, there may still be a chance, but I think in TE's case, it's being able to be coached out of bad habits, whereas with Brees and Manning, I think it was more of a "gaining experience" thing. I hope you're right, for Trent's sake.
  15. I wouldn't say reading into the future, but there were some who didn't want to get "carried away" with the hysteria during those first 4 weeks. Seattle and Jacksonville were "different" teams in '08 compared to '07. Some saw, others didn't. No big deal, but in the end, those who thought maybe Trent was getting too much attention were right. He did play well during those games (I'd even say he played well against S.D.) but he should have been. Like I said, the main point was that he's not good enough to start in the NFL, and we should move on. I'm not sold on Clausen, or any rookie for that matter, just pointing out the TE thing. And ya, I think Orton is a very serviceable QB. It'll be interesting to see how he does should Marshall get snagged by another team...
  16. Perhaps, but there were some of us who recognized it for what it was; a cream-puff schedule to start. It doesn't take an NFL elitist to realize he's nothing special. It's time to move on.
  17. You're either about to owe a lot of money around here, or we'll never hear from you again.
  18. Please edit your thread title, for cripes sake.... Proof reading FTW.....
  19. ^Where've you been?? Either way, good to see you're back. It's gotten...... "odd" around here.
  20. NINJA EDIT; almost ate my whole foot on this post. Nothing to see here, keep it moving people...
