Just watched the first half of the Bengals/Browns game and wow, the Browns are bad. It wasn't a game (half) that the Bengals dominated by any stretch. The Browns got a Dalton fumble recovery on the first drive, had a negative yard drive and missed a FG. On the second drive Hill coughed it up, but the Bengals recovered. After the Bengals scored on a less than dominant dink and dunk drive, the Browns threw a pick in the red zone that looked exactly like Tyrod's INT in the Jets game (only the WR was way more open and just popped it up in the air). Anyways, I may watch the second half, but this puts me at ease a little bit. The Browns had chances and ran actually pretty well early. They got down and had multiple 3 and outs created by bad pocket presence and throwing by Kizer. Tyrod won't make the mistake that Kizer did and our D is much more stingy-- the Bengals O line is not good. We are not the Browns and the Bengals took advantage of the worst team in the league and their many, many unforced errors-- 64 yard screen pass for a TD right before half. Even with the sloppy play, the game would have been much different had they made their early FG and converted in the red zone instead of a pick. This wasn't about the Bengals being super good; it was more about the Browns being super bad.

Ross only has one catch this year, so not losing his production, only potential. Eifert is bigger loss, but he's been out and will continue to be. No surprises here

I'm sure we'll start to hear rumblings about players in town or working out, which will tip what they plan to do and how bad the Humber and Matthews situations are. The difficulty now becomes roster spots- you have Powell back and Henderson after the next game. With neither injury sounding like IR worthy, you're going to start to get thin on roster spots for depth purposes

It would really suck to have won the last two and drop this one. Have to win this now. Can't have a let down.

Lee would just go back to practice squad. Powell is no Mathews, but nice to have the options at least. Hopefully Mathews only misses a game. We beat Cincy last year with a god awful WRs corp

How sweet would it be to get EJ starting for the Raiders in Buffalo in a few weeks!?

Wonder what Boldin is thinking now? I know he quit on the team, but wonder if he/we would reconsider playing. Know he looked slow in preseason, know he wants to save the world, but we may be down Matthews a while and could probably use a possession guy, if so. This team could make noise and he's a piece to add without having to make a trade. Just food for thought and conversation.

I think Henderson is out for 5, so he'll be back after Cincy. This is Powell's last game. Totally forgot about him. He may actually be a nice little add to the receiving corp. Ducasse's days are numbered.

Just get me to 3-2 at the bye and we'll talk. I do think we can win the Tampa, Oakland and New Orleans games at home, btw. At one point I had those as three losses.

Said in the pre game thread that this was like the Arizona game last year. It totally feels like that game last year- great win.

Historically bad offense

Love me some Kyle, but no one is giving up that kind of value for a player with 10 more games left in him. At most, we'd get a 7th. Not worth trading him unless he has a chance to get a ring and we want to do in a solid for all of the crappy teams he's been on. Shady, maybe a 2nd or 3rd. Likely 3rd.
