  1. I've been thinking about this since we had Britt in for a visit on Friday: Assuming the team DID offer him a contract, I have to assume it had some sort of expiration to avoid allowing him to shop around for an extended period of time to find a higher bidder. Anyone with knowledge of the process have any thoughts or insight?
  2. Watch this and tell me it doesn't sound like we're in the running/leader for Britt. He says, "I was kinda expecting less" and "our GM". Don't put it past a player to slip up a little and unintentionally provide some insight into where things are at. http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Free-Agent-WR-Kenny-Britt-Visits-Bills/e40bf929-b233-463f-b6fb-dab831e1f364
  3. Don't be surprised if we kick the tires on butt fumble
  4. For posterity; from Rap Sheet Agent Pat Dye said on @SiriusXMNFL that #Bills have interest in WR Kenny Britt. Turns out, that's the spot of his next visit, per source
  5. I think this- or the draft of any other RB- spells the end of the road for summers. Dixon will slot in at FB and they'll carry a third guy like this.
  6. Great lyric recognition, boys. First round talent there.
  7. Don't believe everything that you breath. In that same interview, Dougie said he was excited about the prospects of Ty Powell starting at MLB. About 5 minutes later reports surfaced of Spikes being in town.
  8. We haven't pursued because we already have a poor man's version on our roster in 6'6' Ramses Barden http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5207/ramses-barden
  9. There are definitely a few good players that could come cheap and help with depth on this list. Hopefully we're just waiting an hour after eating before jumping back in the pool.
  10. They were talking to him at the same time they were negotiating with Chandler. Basically a fall back. Chandler resigned and their interest faded.
  11. Pats lose ten in a row; I rue the day....not. One can dream.
  12. Don't forget we resigned Carpenter too. Moats still blowing in the wind as well. With these two LB signings, doubt he's back. Agree that we are a better team. We prepared for the loss of Byrd by drafting two guys last year. Sure there will be a drop off, but we don't have any glaring holes going into the draft. For the first time in years, we're close. Grab a few weapons there and its on EJ to take us to the promise land.
  13. Branch got a one year deal last year; performed and signed a long term deal. If it works out, I see this heading the same way, if not, we don't have that much skin in the game. If I'm spikes you gotta live the prospect of playing behind marcel and Kyle
  14. Wow. We just got nasty. free agency has been a great success. When Whaley and marrone say they have a plan, we have to believe them.
  15. Meachum was the first day of free agency. If these guys were going to Meachum us it would have been on Tuesday.
  16. Nothing against Kelly, I pray that he beats this, but who's heart skipped a beat when the alert just came through thinking it was a Spikes signing?
  17. Hard to believe that he'd make the visit and the org would announce Kiko moving outside if a signing weren't imminent.
  18. Spikes or bust. Probably bust
  19. Thurman tweeted, "holla at me" in response to Dixon's headed to Buffalo tweet. Love it. The glory era guys are all we have in terms of recruitment. Kelly helped land Mario; good to see Thurman reaching out.
  20. Dude is now saying that they remain interested in Ryan Clark and Brandon Spikes. Best Twitter response to his "clarification" tweet: "You should tryout for the NFL. Elite back-pedal, 1st round corner talent."
  21. My guess is Joe Klopfenstein.
