  1. I am the biggest Nate Clements basher on this board, and there is ZERO excuse for him losing the game for the BIG BONEHEAD.

That said, we really, in all fairness, cannot assume that just because we lost that game that we can assume all other games would have played out as they did. If we were 1-3 instead of 0-4, perhaps we would not have regrouped like we did. Perhaps if we won the first we wouldnt have blown it in the second against Oakland. The point is only that we cannot look at the first game as a one play loss, even though it was, and then just assume the entire season would have played out the same. It simply wouldn't have.

thief - see my thread posted at 7:50....

  2. because you can't go back and change the outcome of an event and expect everything else to follow as if the change didn't occur.

If Nate knocks that ball down and we win - our next week practice would have changed, etc... there is no telling how the season would have unfolded. A win in week one is just that - a win in week one. Maybe those loses were necessary for us to maintain this streak? Maybe we win week one, but lose today....

  3. So, what you're saying is your loyalty is for sale? Real commendable.

What if Bill Gates offered to give you 1,000,000 bucks if your sister got hit by a bus? Would you be rooting for the Greyhound to clip her everytime she crossed the street? Oh, but then you would be rooting that she didn't die, just had some broken bones, right? :w00t:

I guess to some people money means everything.

If BG offered me that cash, I'd root for his sister getting hit by a bus! ;) j/k

  4. Nice hotel.

Just had Sam Wyche pat me on the back and say "Thanks for being here".

Saw Nate Clements & Chuck Lester too.  Team has meetings at 7, then we're off to the bash!

    More later, guys.  GO BILLS!

Did you bump into Chuck in the laundry room scrubbing jocks? :)

  5. every now and then it is easy to forget we are all on the same side and want the same things - a place to chat with other fans and a SB victory.

I'm crossing my fingers that a lot of technical good came out of this and that our maximum capacity is set at a much higher level. I still have a few items to implement/fix, but I'm encouraged so far.

So I extend my apologies to anyone who was slighted earlier in the week. I hope everyone has a nice weekend and we'll see you here on Sunday!

  6. Come out to Starter's Pub just over the mountain from S. Bethlehem on Route 378 in the Giant shopping plaza. Each week, we have a group of 8 or 9 die hards out there to watch the game. We get our own big screen every week and always have a good time. If you're interested in joining us, you're more than welcome.

    PM me for details.

    GO BILLS!!

    that's where I went every week.... :o

  7. Tried that, but it's frustrating as hell.  Since the Outline always reverts to Page 1 as the default view, it's too much PITA to deal with on very fun long threads.

    164407[/snapback]

well, what gould possibly be solution to a thread that has 895 responses? Show the entire outline every time you read a single message?

That is why threaded views are unworkable past a certain volume of posts. Our old board never really had more than 50 replies to a subject.

So, you are wishing for a solution from the past that really never behaved as you want it now.

  8. A kingdom for threaded views.  Much better than the "ignore" function.

Sorry, but the growth of the board means the old threaded views cannot return - you can't thread 1000 responses in a reasonable fashion.

Have you tried viewing the board in outline mode? That is on the top right. That is close as we will ever get to threaded views.
