  1. My history professor. God bless her. Mrs. Barboni has 4 degrees in history.

Really enjoyed her classes. Her tests where intense. But, she pushed her students to do well.

I wrote several papers. My best one was about the relationship between Roosevelt & Churchill. Also, learned about my Sicilain family tree. Did not know alot about my family until I wrote this paper. 5 generations of Daquino's.

    Roosevelt was gay?

  2. hey, our ideas won, but lets just go with your ideas that lost and we'll all be happy!!!!

    what a bunch of BS.

If bipartisanship was the goal we would do away with elections and have the entire govt split 50/50 and force it all to work...

Let me tell you a story about bipartisanship. George Bush Sr. wanted to be a "uniter". He wanted to work together with those bipartisan-loving democrats who have nothing but goodness flowing through their veins. Sure he made a pledge not to raise taxes, but hey - let's work together!

So, the democrat Senate Majority leader George Mitchell crafted the tax increase - with threats to shut down the govt if it wasn't passed - and Bush took the bait. He wanted to be a uniter. So, he signed the infamous Mitchell tax increase into law and then Mitchell and his band of bipartisan-loving democrats proceeded to lop the balls off that fuggin' promise breaking republican....

I'm sure GB is happy he extended his hand across the aisle...

So spare your breath about bipartisanship. You people will never vote for a republican anyway, so go pound sand. Or better yet - make a cohesive argument for your ideas, change minds, and win elections.

I'm guessing you'll forego trying to move the electorate with ideas. You'll just spend time pissing on those crazy religious people.... then in 4 years I can watch again as you all scratch your collective asses about why you can't win a state between MD and CA.

  3. I liked what Kerry said ...

    -

--- " But in an American election, there are no losers, because whether or not our candidates are successful, the next morning we all wake up as Americans.  "

    -

    - Meanwhile, Cheney refers to a 2% victory as a "mandate" ...

    -

    (*sigh*) Four more years indeed.

Interesteing.... just the other day he was talking about "two Americas". Did that go away? Did the wind shift again?

    That's what I thought.

  4. ...on your man's electoral and popular vote victory.  You wanted this president and this congress--you've got 'em.  And the anti-gay marriage initiatives, and the parental notification law in Fla, and the new senators in SC, NC, LA, OK, SD, etc.  Big victories all.

We'll see how it works out.

nice, but those are all 3am chicks....

the real prize was the Supreme Court. (hopefully some old coots will retire).

  5. The mainstream media just suffered it's first post election credability casualty. I finally turned off NPR. I was listening to the arbiters of unvarnished truth tell me how Florida was, and would remain a swing state (Bush by 376,923). Pennsylvania swung decisively to Kerry (Kerry by 121,489) and was probably no longer a battleground state, while Bush eked out a narrow victory in Ohio (Bush by 136,218).

That is a mighty fine piece of analysis. I wish I knew who the panel was...

  6. The republicans have a very good crop of candiates

    Guliani

    Pataki

    Schwarzzeneger (though he shouldnt be)

Cheney (likely not to want it)

Powell (likely not to want it)

    JC Watts

    George Allen

    etd, etc, etc..

    errrr.... negative cowboy.

Guliani, Powell, and Patiaki could never get the nomination. Arnold is ineligible. Cheney is near death with his heart (not to mention he is now a liability).

Allen is your only possibility there.

  7. [shannen Coffin] My post from Monday:

286-252. That's my prediction. Bush holds Ohio and Florida. Picks up NM and IA. NH, overrun by Massachusetts libs who can talk a good game about the need for higher taxes but can't back it up by paying them, flips to Kerry. I wouldn't be entirely surprised, however, if I'm wrong on Wisconsin, which I currently have as a Dem hold. Actually, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if I am wrong on the entire damnable enterprise, since I rarely get these things right. I was just hoping I could have something else to laugh at NRO editors about (in addition to the Red Sox Series win), so I am taking a free shot. Posted at 01:02 PM
