  1. Prove what? That his income is suspiciously close to the 15% capital gains tax rate? Seriously? Where do you think an investment tycoon gets his money - a lemonade stand?
  2. This is incorrect. The reason he gets away with this rhetoric is because 35% of the profit is already being given to the govt. before they cut his check. Add in his 15% and you get a 50% tax rate. So, no - your tax rate isn't higher. You can play stupid number games like this all day. Just tax corp profits at 50% - eliminate cap gains for the individual and what do you get? The govt gets the same amount. Buffet gets the same amount after tax, but his "total federal tax rate" is now like 2%. Yet there isn't a single extra dollar in his pocket. That's fine, but he is using faulty rhetoric to make a point. If he wants to pay more taxes - he can cut the check. I won't argue.
  3. If you don't find re-evaluation of past thoughts to be healthy and constructive then go enjoy your mashed peas and your Wiggles videos.
  4. No thanks. I'm going to continue to talk about it. With your permission of course...
  5. Considering the freshness of the news, why are we letting it go 8 hours later?

  7. I was referring to saving toilet water....
  8. Did he snap you with his towel?
  9. Here's a comfortable spot your oversized body: Relax on this...
  10. I heard if you dig a hole out back of your house - you can cut your water usage in half. Do you really think your free content on the internet is going to last? Content companies are already signing deals with cable/satellite providers to provide a verification scheme to prove you already pay for the content before you can view on line for free at the content provider's site.
  11. The summary is that there is a boatload of evidence that Jason Simpson was the killer and OJ covered up for him... this private investigator walks you through the evidence that he spent 12 years collecting. Evidence (whether you agree or not) that he presents: Jason's altered timecard from the night he worked His history of mental problems History of Rage disorder Pictures of him wearing a knit cap like the one found at the scene dated before the killings and pics of him wearing a different one after His personal diaries filled with entries hinting, but not actually admitting the crime A box of very personal affects he stored in Public Storage that he abandoned that included a bunch of stuff including a knife that could have been the murder weapon Etc... etc... The picture he draws explains a lot of stuff that didn't sit right in the trial, like why OJ's Bronco only had a drop or two of blood, when he should have been covered head to toe, including his shoes.
  12. I never heard about this. There is a lot of stuff there that rings true to these ears.
  13. My heart goes out to Allen and his family. I don't know where he is at in his treatment, but I hope his outcome is a positive one.
  14. 2 here. Plus, I need to know whether to bring Mike back to grill: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/gallery/image/779-img-0264jpg/ Look through the Tailgate Galleries to get an idea of what goes on!
  15. Your reaction is really starting to border on the absurd. Given that it has been pointed out countless times that signing Smith does not preclude the Bills from signing other players, I'm pretty sure you really don't get it.
  16. Does this mean we can get our 1st round pick refunded for Spiller?
  17. My backyard is southern facing. It wouldn't be a big deal. Plus, they actually have no cost lease options. I'll get details tomorrow, but even if I don't save any money on my monthly bills per se, I'd be using 40-50% less electricity. IDK, ask someone who lives there. I live in MD.
  18. I have a consultation tomorrow. Seems like the right thing to do if you can lease with no out of pocket costs.
  19. I bought two, which I owe you money for.
  20. After a long, rough week - I'm finally back home. I returned on Friday night to blistering heat and no phone/TV/internet (FIOS). I just got the service fixed this morning. My mother passed peacefully Sunday morning with me and my sister by her side. She let go a few minutes after her husband left. She claimed he was the "perfect man" for her, but I know a lot of that had to do with his loss of hearing. She battled AML (Leukemia) since September. The cancer was gone, but it was likely to return (80%) and perhaps even quickly (3 months? 1 year?... who knows). Her only potential cure was a bone marrow transplant. We found a match in Feb., but it ultimately wasn't good enough. She needed to be symptom free after the BMT for 100 days to have statistics on her side. She made it to day 90. What was supposed to be a couple days in the hospital turned into 9-10 weeks. She never left. Her mind was strong and she fought to the end, but her body could no longer cooperate. The GVHD she was fighting (body rejecting the bone marrow) took too much out of her. The steroids were devastating and the recovery never materialized. Bucky Gleason wrote a wonderful piece in the Buffalo News on her life. I am forever grateful to him. His last line will stay with me forever as will his words stay with my mother (we printed them and laid them by her side). Her arrangements were a celebration of her life in harness racing. I highly recommend Michael Tomaslewski's Funeral Home in Batavia. He did an amazing job and his facility is top notch. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. It means a great deal to me. There was even one member over at SabreSpace who came to the wake. That was was truly very special to me... I hope I can return the kindness you all have shown me someday. Here is the top of my mother's vault. My best friend from high school's company does these special applique's. They did an amazing job:
