Steely Dan
Thanks for finding that Pete. It's very sad but it's really cool that Julian got back into her life and was able to offer some encouragement. It's amazing how the myth about that song being about LSD continues on. BillsPride12
Thanks for finding that Pete. It's very sad but it's really cool that Julian got back into her life and was able to offer some encouragement. It's amazing how the myth about that song being about LSD continues on. Even though they deny it, I still think the song has a subtle reference to a LSD trip even though they might have gotten they idea from Julian and Lucy, I mean c'mon have you ever seen the video?? If that isn't trippy then I don't know what is

Chandler#81
Picture yourself in a boat on a river, With tangerine trees and marmalade skies. Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly, A girl with kaleidoscope eyes. Cellophane flowers of yellow and green, Towering over your head. Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes, And she's gone. {CHORUS} Lucy in the sky with diamonds, Lucy in the sky with diamonds, Lucy in the sky with diamonds, Ah... Ah... Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain, Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies. Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers, That grow so incredibly high. Newspaper taxis appear on the shore, Waiting to take you away. Climb in the back with your head in the clouds, And you're gone. {CHORUS} Picture yourself on a train in a station, With plasticine porters with looking glass ties. Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile, The girl with kaleidoscope eyes. {CHORUS REPEATED AND FADED} R.I.P., Ms. Lucy

BuffaloBill
I had no idea that there was a real Lucy (then again I am not a Beattles fan). May she RIP.
