Given Trent's inability to play against the 3 - 4 defense Gregg Williams decided to run almost exclusively the 3 - 4 especially for us instead of their normal mix with the 4 - 3. http://www.buffalonews.com/452/story/811043.html "The Saints usually play a 4-3 defense, but Williams has employed a lot of 3-4 this season. Given how the Bills have struggled with the 3-4 scheme, it's no surprise that Williams used it almost exclusively on Sunday." The struggle continues. On a positive note we will eventually get some experience playing against it if several games over the that last 2 years haven't been enough. I'm not in the camp that likes to lay everything at the feet of Ralph and the coaches although many things can be attributed to them. Why do you bring in a former defensive coordinator specialist to be the head coach of a team that already has the #2 defense using a different scheme with different talent? The struggle continues. sad thing is Edwards said the Saints presented them some things there were not prepared for....uhh, doesn't everyone in our division run the 3-4? The 3 - 4 is NOT new and it is becoming the most used defense in the league. Have your QB under center and with a quick count execute a quick hand-off to an up back 4 or 5 times That usually teaches a 3 - 4 a lesson. Why does TE always say that he is not prepared? The guy plays QB in the NFL. He is supposed to be a good player to be one of 32 starters at his position. He should be able to adapt to whatever is being thrown at him. His job is to throw the ball DOWN the FIELD to his receivers that are at least partially open. When you guys played sandlot ball as a kid didn't you always throw medium to deep passes? Who the heck wants to dump it off? I know I would always go down the field. He way overthinks everything. He needs to go out on the field and say to himself. I don't care what they are throwing at me, my receivers and I can beat anything. This guy is a robot who has no feel for the position. I can see him getting just creamed by the Fish, and than we will have a guy with not the most talent, but a whole lot more feel for the position playing. I blame management for taking TE to begin with. What the hell did he ever show to impress us so much to take him? I blame Jauron for keeping him as our starter this year when he has actually regressed. He looks like he doesn't even want to play. Why has there been no competition for the starting QB job?
