In the case of Suckmaballs vs. Youreanidiot The Supreme Court ruled that a thread starter is not in fact the first post even though the #1 appears on the title page. They reasoned that this obvious attempt to rig the contest and was illegal pursuant to the amendment that deals with this kind of thing. A person starting such a thread and who then declares themselves the winner should be subject to being tied to a chair and having farts blown in their faces for at least 20 days and no more than 1 year.

Yes, but prior precedence was set in the case of Johnson vs. the Purple Nipple strip club when the Honorable Judge Rection (Hugh G.) ruled that:

 

1.) Steely Dan is a gimp who likes to dress up farm animals are attempt to date them, and

2.) The creator of said contest is free to make up whatever rules he so chose, and that all interpretations of winners were at the sole discretion on the contest creator.
