EDIT: According to Wikipedia, Canadian college football (CIS) is the original football game that the CFL, and later the American version, is modelled after. I never knew that. Near as I can tell high school plays American rules unless the league decides otherwise, college plays Canadian rules unless the conference decides otherwise.
