Leonidas Posted April 2, 2009 Share Posted April 2, 2009 Did you ever think he might be the best OG in the draft with enough versatility to play RT and even LT in a pinch- I would have an easier time working around a mediocre LT who is occasionally beaten by a speed rush than a guard who is continually pushed back into the QB. So we're taking him with our first pick in ths hopes that he's good at a position he didn't play in college? Oh yeah, I like that idea. And you'll have to excuse me, but it's a little difficult to take anything you say seriously with your signature. I don't even know where to begin with it so I just won't. I have watched him more than any other college player and for what little it's worth, I project him to RT in the NFL. In college, some guys are simply maulers who can beat up the smaller linemen. In the pros it is obviously much tougher. They need a lot more than size and strength, or else Jerry Ostroski would have been great instead of awful. I just don't think that this kid has the combo of strength/speed/agility that a prototype NFL LT needs. You know....the talent level of Jason Peters. I'd be quite upset getting a young Mike Williams with the 11th pick. That's also the least of what bothers me about your signature. Why are we drafting any WR's?? Why is Sidbury, projected prior to the Combine to go in the 6th-7th round, now a 2nd rounder for you?? And trading Parrish and a 5th rounder for Vernon Davis, then going to the H-back...just plain stupid on multiple levels. And when is it going to evolve?? You say Andre Smith is Mike Williams I say he will be an Immediate step up from Dockery at LG- lets agree to disagree 2. I want a pass rush specialist and I think our choices in the 2nd will be Larry English, Paul Kruger, and Sidbury and of the three I like Sidbury. 3. why a WR? better to ask why a punt returner, Mike Thomas has Welker like qualities and he's a damn fine Punt returner- remember I'd like to trade Parrish. 4. While I don't think Vernon Davis is a great receiving TE, I think his run blocking is very underrated and his receiving is as good as any of the fullback candidates out there, of course any idea of getting Davis is dependent on SF wanting to get rid of him- I've read where they want to get rid of him but I've also read that they have big plans for him.
