To my fellow conservatives on the board

Recommended Posts

I noticed we are getting under the libs skin?

They are getting nastier and nastier and wishing more violence on me/us.

I always knew they were more tolerant than us.

Why would you want to get under somebody's skin? What does that accomplish?

The country needs both liberals and conservatives- without one, the other would get out of control.

You're just another fool who thinks that American politics is some sort of game, with some sort of winner. You think that you play for the conservatives and that those who play for the liberals are your enemies. Whatever threats of violence you've received were in some way provoked by you, if only passive-aggressively. Can't we all just work toward the same goal?

By the way, all of the above goes for liberals too. It's not about proving yourself right and somebody else wrong. It isn't about bickering. When somebody jovially posts on a political message board that they are "getting under the libs skin", then that just goes to show that person is not interested in bettering the country, just interested in winning whatever imaginary battle they've created between two opposing viewpoints.

Thats the problem though. Whats the goal?. And what system do we use do get there? What frustrates me is the notion that somehow more government regulation, larger government agencies, government programs somehow is a good thing. Like they can run anything. The US was built on individual responsibility, work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit. Not some suffocating over lord with a socialist manifesto that simple does not work. But it really is hard to fight the lazy side of human nature. People think they are going to get a easier ride, they are going to take it. Throw in a good marketing team that can demonize the opponent and you have the odds tilted in your favor.

Now, that's a beatdown. Good job.

Uncle Newt Gingrich's speechwriters hold the copyright for most of the buzzwords used in your post. Expect a bill in the mail soon...

Oh no. Conservative vs. Liberal fight.

Dude, based on your posts that show your "intelligence," I think any group would be ashamed to have you associated with their "gang."

Based on what your posted, Obama is essentially what is good about America. He is a self-made man who wasn't given anything.

Here's a fact: not every person is given the same chances to succeed. Does a baby born in South Central LA deserves less of a chance to succeed than a child born in Orange County???

I've notice that the people who do the most whining (not saying you) are the ones who aren't content with their life. instead of pointing the finger, look at the thumb pointed back at you.

way to violate TOS.

Liberals typically discredit themselves thru outspoken, often RADICAL outbursts. sound familiar?

And conservatives speak in circles to try and prove something.... yada, yada, blah, blah, blah...

If we can get the velocity of this thing going fast enough, can we find a way to tap the alternative energy?????

Dude!

Bickering by the left and right is better than shooting each other.... although the seem to do that in Detroit very well.

I guess here is where it gets grey. I guess a kid from that area would have a more difficult time. Of course everyone deserves the same chance. I'm sure here is where we split. Whose fault is it that the kid doesn't have the same chance? Someone has to want to learn. You can throw money at the problem. But it doesn't take money to learn. There has to be a reasonable family base to give someone a good atmosphere to learn. It's not my or government responsibility to baby sit everyone in the county to make sure they go to school and do their homework. It's not governments fault that neighborhoods are crime infested.
