What a turn-around for Manning & Elway in a single year! Took awhile for Fouts, Moon, Young, & Theismann to break into double-digit wins (and even Farve & Aikman for that matter, too). Of course, Moon tore up the CFL! Surrounding cast, of course, also has a LOT to do with a young QB's progress & success, but certain QBs seem capable of single-handedly making the players around them look better and I think Trent is one of those guys.

Trent Edwards:

5-4 (2007)

3-0 (2008) -- Double-digits in '08?!?!

So far, Trent is a bit ahead of the curve it seems for young QBs!

Yep, I keep thinking 4 more starts (not 4 needed to get to double digits). Those 4 starts give him 16 in the NFL, or a full season's worth of full go action with live bulletts. Wonder how he'll look with a full year of NFL starting expeience under his belt :flirt:

Trent took a beating yesterday, he has to be hurting this morning. Yet he continued to get back up and deliver great passes with linemen in his face all day. 24/39, 1 TD, and 1 questionable pick, plus at least 5 dropped passes. Trent showed guts and determination that whole game. He has the potential to become a great QB in this league.

are we counting that new england game that Edwards played all but the first 3 snaps in not as a loss for TE?

what about the Jets game where Losman saved the Bills, is that counted as a win for TE?

I basically just followed official stats, but valid points.

Nice additions! Hard to think of them all for sure.

I find it interesting that there seems to be greater early success in the more recent times.

Here's to TE not only joining the 2nd year 10+ wins group......but that new group formed not so long back.....the 2nd year QB superbowl wining group. :flirt:

In general, I think teams are pressured to succeed more quickly and seem less interested long player development plans. I don't know if this is due to free agency or what, but it just seems like most teams do not patiently bring players along any longer. Young players just get tossed in and either sink or swim.
