I really don't care about people's predictions, but it was surprising to me because the tone of the article would lead you to believe he would have more optimism for the coming season, then he drops that bomb at the end of the article. And based on their prognosticating performance in the time he's been writing for them, I'd trust his point of view over theirs. No different than PFW: Pollock's the Buffalo beat guy for them but he's not their only source, and the editors have their own opinions on the team. Just because the team is better doesn't mean a better result- from what you said, it sounds fairly accurate to me.
