Kentwan Balmer???

Anyone check out that film on Quentin Groves???? Holy crap, that guy looks like the best defensive player available in this draft. Why is this guy getting no respect?

Look at Harvey's reel, then check out Groves'. Harvey looks like a rather pedestrian pass rusher, while Groves looks like a ferocious beast chasing down the QB. Why do we want Harvey and not Groves again????

Bills should do themselves a big favor and trade down, grab Groves then pick up Kelly WR and Bennett TE with their two second rounders. Why is no one talking about this guy?

I felt the same way when I watched the film on Groves and Harvey. As far as Harvey goes, all I saw on tape was their other end (#49, cant recall his name) wreaking havoc on opposing offenses and Harvey sort of coming in and cleaning up the mess if you will. Groves seems like he could be a difference maker.

It's not even close. After looking at those two films, Groves looks to be the much better pass rusher and NFL player than Harvey. That guy looks like pro bowl material.

Grove's name is never mentioned here, yet we still get twenty "draft Harvey" posts a day. Open your eyes people, Harvey's not even close to being as good as Groves.

probably Groves doesn't get mentioned because the punditry have declared him to be a 3-4 rush linebacker at the next level. Remember, it doesn't matter what all these people say - the scouts know who's actually better and whether a certain player can fit a certain scheme.

Also Balmer only seems crazy because we have been fed the media mock drafts for months. He could be a way better prospect in pro scouts' eyes. Basically, none of us know much of anything other than somebody else's opinion that doesn't matter and is just as irrelevant, and a handful of highlights.

I agree with the opinion of Groves over Harvey, though it may be the medical record that has teams concerned. Apparently Groves underwent surgery on March 27th, 2008 to treat his Wolff Parkinson White syndrome, which leads to irregular heart beats.

Speaking of heart, it look like his heart is in playing football. Nothing meek or mild about the way he plays the game.

Like I said before, Groves looks like so much better of a football player than Harvey.

Groves is a bit of a workout warrior. He's also undersized, although probably a great fit at LB in 3-4 but his lack of experience is a concern. Even though he was Auburn's all-time sack leader he only had 3 last year , some question his motor and instincts, also not very good against the run.

yes I agree - two different type players- Harvey will start out backing up at both RE and LE and he athletic enough to drop back occasionally but when he totally matures physically he will be a LE who is good against the run and can still generate good pressure and get 8-10 sacks - Groves starts off as a pass rush specialist or a 3-4 OLB - if he can get stronger and hold more weight he might be able to play RE full time- he is a fantastic athlete and he could get a lot of sacks like Wares or Merrimen.

Did you take a look at his video? As far as size, he's two inches taller and only 10 pounds lighter than Dwight Freeney.

I question Harvey's motor, not Groves, after watching both videos. I think a lot of teams are going to be sorry they passed on this guy, especially those that take Harvey and Merling before him.
