Broncos talking 3rd-round pick trade for Willis?

Recommended Posts

if we dont get a 1st we should get a 2nd and a 4th or 5th...we drafted willis in the 1st round and he has had two 1,000 yard seasons.he has only been in the league 4 seasons and didn't play the 1st season,so he should have less mileage on him.a dedicated willis (if that can happen)can be a productive football player(hopefully for the giants or broncos).go bills in"07

Willis is an average NFL Back--Not to quote MM but he doesn't hit holes hard. He hesitates too much.--Not too mention we are only going to have him for 1 more year and the fact that he is a bit of a cancer. Marv, take the best you can get for WM and ship him out. I would be OK with a 3rd.

We might as well keep Willis unless we can get a 2nd rounder for him. He is in a contract year so obviously he is going to be motivated to have his best season ever. We just upgraded our O-line for Willis to actually have holes to run through. J.p. is going to need a solid running game to keep progressing as a quarterback.

They can kiss our collective butts. D'oh.

No kidding.

With our new bulked up O-Line... I waiting, no make that PRAYING to see that sweet stiff-arm and power-running that Willis used a couple years ago. Heck, he showed flashes of domination out on the field.

It would be really stupid to trade him for beans.

Willis is not going to get traded. They will go after either Travis henry or Jamal and not have to give up any draft picks. Willis is ours and he will be amonster this year. It's his payday contract year.

And his first year as a Bronco.

A 3rd round pick is his value. You couldd pick up a rookie to get the same production you got out of him last year. He does not want to be hear---basically confirmed by what Rosenhaus said. He probably will have a decent year given that it's his contract year but for him that is about 1200 yards. RB value has diminished greatly in the NFL except if you're an LT. He gained all of 990 yards last year and many times he could have gained more than he did. He is about maybe the 16-20th best RB in the league--3rd rounder is good enough for him. The Colts seemed to do fine when they lost a much more superior back in James.

Agree here, and maybe lower than that from a yardage production standpoint. 16th-20th best would be generous.
