It would have been nice to keep the playoff dream alive one more week, but this is not a contending team, YET. But we've come a long way in a year. To top it off they're poised to lose two of their best 3 players on D in Clements and Fletcher. I'm not sure how they can fix the D in one offseason. It's the game on the line critical decisions that are bad. Thats why the Pats have won alot of Superbowls. Bellicheck has a great football IQ in all phases of the game. Not just 85% of the game. In the big scheme of things, the current group is light years ahead of the previous regime. The game today could have gone either way, we just came up short. It is not the result of collosal bungling, it was a series of things that if done better could have gone the other way.
