big ben can do it to

but he is a god and JP is a scrub. see what happens when you loose your running game and have to trust your QB to do everthing. I cracks me up when everyone is on JP's jock for everything he does, doesnt do. look around the league. this has been the problem with the bills for the last 10 years. the "twelve man" gets on his computer and annalizes the crap out of every single call. as soon as a QB has a bad day, he is tossed under the buss. get over it, kelly is gone. now embrace (not like that you f#g) your bills and look for growth out of the young players. and just maybe our beloved marv will spend the entire off season improving the lines. nothing else just the darn lines.

Yet Carr throws 1 INT passes for 100+ yards and completes almost 75% of his passes in a half and 2 fumbles, which is very Losmanish, and he got benched.

Again, every team has to evaluate each player and each situation.

Great point!  Go ahead and start a "Bulger sucked today" thread because that proves JP can play.  Jesus H., this thread was dumb the first 800 times.

Yes, but any time great Sage comes in as a backup he has a career day, too bad he couldn't sub in his whole career.

So what hasn't he shown? He has had a worse oline then Buffalo has his whole career. For those that like stats he has a career 77 rating, which by some standards is very good. He has as many TD's as INT's, and has progressively gotten better over his first two years. In fact he thrown more TDs then INTs every year since his 2nd.

Again, I do not care about him he isn't the Bills QB.

But if you want to compare Qb's from other teams, every situation is different. Take Roth, he is coming off a serious off season injury where he couldn't practice for a long time, then he has an emergency surgery to start the season. I'm guessing in his situation the Steelers know what he brings when healthy and aren't concerned.

My point is, each situation is different and has to be looked at as a whole. I expect the coaches to make the right decisions when it comes to the Bills Qb situation at the appropriate time. I have my opinion, but that's all it is. To continue repeating it here day after day, and attacking posters because they disagree, or trying to justify how it's okay that one QB sucks to say another should be left in is well not comparing apples to apples.

Ben won the damn SuperBowl.  All we want is for JP to string together a couple 20+ point games.  If/when he makes the playoffs we can start comparing him to Ben (who probably is still concussed).

All by himself?

He is good. <_<

Yes he won it all by himself and JP is the sole reason the Bills suck. Lets just get that out of the way to make the retarded JP apologist straw-man arguments sound reasonable. Because ya know, it not possible for a QB x to both have a better supporting cast than QB y and be a better QB.

Great point VA.

Anybody certain about a situation should pop some viagra & take a good hard look at themselves.

And my point is that Ben is not better than JP to date this season, so I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, the Steelers had a better supporting cast last year, and that is what made Ben great.

the difference here is that big ben is toast right now and should never have been allowed to play so soon after his accident/operation/concussion...this is text book.."How I ruined my short career"

But he gives them the best chance to win. <_<

Seriously though, if he passed all their physicals, then he should be okay.

If you think his supporting cast explains the difference in his play from last year to this more than his injuries - then I would say that Bettis (last yr when he was past his prime) & Randle El are the most overrated players in NFL history. But I can agree to disagree on that.

Here's an idea, if you don't like the topic, don't read the post, and don't post in it. This is a discussion board. In a discussion, comparisons are made. It's part of normal discourse. If you've heard it too many times already, stop listening.

I have been a bills fan since 1970. Lets face it we have gotten spoiled by QB,s like Jim Kelly and Doug Flutie and some others. IN my opinion JP sucks i didnt like him in college and i dont like him now . But i dont place all the blame on him for us losing all the time.It takes a whole team to win not just one.

Why can't Big Bens reduction in performance be a possible combination of both. Why does one side always have to counter & contradict the other????

IMO Big Bens drop in performance is a combination of his pre-season injuries.....he had nearly no practice with the team at all....& the fact that his support cast has changed since last year.....Bettis provided him with a smash-mouth style run attack(which is not Parkers strong suit) which certainly helped him in the passing game last season.

Perhaps add in a Superbowl hangover for some of the team & you have a generally terrible performance by him this year.
