Our elected officials are to worried about looking racist and losing votes, and not worried about the health and well being of our nation. It's time to say enough. An icon for a devestated school system? How about an icon to having an idiot for a mayor? I don't suppose it ever crossed anyone's minds at CNN that if those busses had been filled with residents, and sent west, they wouldn't be on E-Bay? They blamed him for not have school bus drivers there to drive the buses since the city school bus drivers were busy getting their own families to the convention center, that was supposed to be locked. The fact that President was the furtherest up the food chain could have been a good excuse had he come riding in on his white horse with the national guard immediately, but they waited, bumbled and his P.R. folks were asleep at the wheel. It could have been a flashback to his leadership under 911, but it only served to remind us of how incompetent his folks are and raise doubt about the progress of the war. I believe this was the "tipping" point of his administration. His folks botched and every stupid little mistep since then has gotton amplified. Taking down the American flag to replace it with the Mexican flag should be seen for what it is, an attempt to take over this country. These people are not proud to be American they are only proud to take advantage of America. Illegal immigrants don't respect our flag, our country, or our citizens. If you are so proud of the Mexican flag and what it represents, why the hell did you leave that country? We do not need these protesters in our country, we need law abiding people who will take great pride in their new Amercian citizenship. How many of us have relatives who cried with joy on the day they became US citizens? Don't dishonor their memory by giving in to these mobs! I was living in Savannah when it was evacuated for a hurricane. All public transport, all the school busses, everything was used to go through neighborhoods, pick up people who had no recourse and take them to pre-arranged, designated "host" communities far inland. The Governor, and especially the President had nothing whatsoever to do with the hurricane evacuation plan. The point is, they thought about it, they had one, and they executed it. This is not an issue where the mexicans flew their flag seperate from the Americam flag, they turned it upside down and placed it under the mexican flag! That is a wage control. Eliminating illegal workers from the workforce is not the same as what is in place in France and Germany.
