He has had horrible game plans and game management/ calling sine he took over the gig.

I don’t know if I’d go that far. Are there plays he wants back, sure. That’s every coach. Does he get too cute sometimes, yeah. Overall we’ve consistently been one of the top offenses in the league though. Does Josh have a whole heck of a lot to do with that? Absolutely, but it’s no different than any other team who wins consistently because of their QB play.

What we do in the run game and, off of that, the rpo game is really good stuff. He also has some really good shield concepts out of stacks that are nearly impossible to defend that are really good. Our vertical choice routes are good which is why we’ve seen an uptick in MoFC coverages, but overall there’s a lot of meat left on the bone in our vertical pass game. We rely too heavily at times on different levels concepts to the sideline whether that be Smash or Floods. Everyone here hates Mesh but it’s a really good concept vs both man and zone if the receivers understand what they are seeing from a defense post snap.

For me, we run way too many mirrored routes for my liking and we hardly ever move the pocket. With as much as we run the ball we should have more pass actions off of those key run schemes.

Gave never had a chance of establishing position and catching this.  The throw is literally to the DB.  Maybye the inside WR blocked Josh's view.  That's the best I've got.

I'm not going to try to sell you that they get a first but it was 3rd and 9 and they certainly could have picked up 6 or 7 and been inside the 40.  We've gone for it a million times on a 4th and 2 and the edge of Prater's field goal range.  All that aside the throw he did make was one of a lot of bad decisions Josh has made this year.  The throw he missed is forgivable.  The throw he made was just bad.  Outside of last year Allen has turned the ball over pretty consistently most of his career.  We've also usually had better defenses to absorb some of that.

It’s true. Last year was an anomaly. Allen is tied number 1 with Trevor Lawrence for most turnovers of the last 5 years. But we all know where his TD #’s lie as well. I get that Brady is trying to limit the hero ball, but even with the WR troubles I think it’s best to let Allen out of his cage once in awhile. He’ll never gain that chemistry w/ his WRs unless they go through trial & error.

If he throws it immediately it’s definitely bang bang. You’re gonna be about 5 yards short of a first though. Not sure the competitive nature in Josh gets him to throw that short of the stick regardless of whether it’s the right thing to do or not unfortunately.

For better or worse, Allen will not give up on a 3rd down and punt by throwing it away, running out of bounds, or throwing well short of the sticks.

Live to fight another day is not in his vocabulary.

So we have 4 guys here with routes that break 5 yards short of the sticks. Not sure I understand the play call on 3rd down. It’s like the goal is to get to 4th and short or something.

It probably was. This area of the field Brady probably knew he had two downs to get a first. Josh has to be on board with that mindset as well.

I recall in post game, Allen said he threw to the wrong side of Gabe.

Nah, Gabe made no effort to beat the DB to the ball. I think they were all fooled by the switch in coverage, but Gabe should have come down harder to at least break it up
