Hardman looked terrible in his Bills debut.

Terrible bc he got the ball ripped out at one point?

I recall his stellar return, exciting the crowd and amping up the team immensely.  And recall he was JUST signed a few days ago.

I think his debut was a huge success and cant wait to see how Brady uses him.

Those are some low expectations if you consider a fumbled punt and sprained ankle a “success.”

agree 100%.  I am super glad he's back and you can see the comfort level between him and Allen immediately.  I'll take the occasional dumb mistakes or misrun routes

Their facemasks getting stuck together was hilarious. Just staring into each others eyes..

Id think one SHOULD have low expectations of a WR just brought in days prior.

And yes, their masks stuck was hysterical.

Not one that has been with Allen and in this system for 5 out of 6 years. The stat line for today was pretty much what i thought it would be. 3 catches for 40 yards is decent in an offense where your opportunities are slim. The short 3rd down conversion (which turned into a TD drive) being the most impressive. Allen knew exactly where Davis would be and trusted him enough to come down with a very difficult catch.

I'm confused. We're talking about Hardman, not Gabe.

I'm responding to your comment "Hardman looked terrible in his debut".

Gabe played 41% of the offensive snaps (23 plays)

Palmer played 50% (28)

Mecole played 7% (4 snaps)

Samuel play 50% (28 snaps)

Shakir and Shavers 54% (30 snaps each).

I'd say that's a very reasonable amount of snaps for Davis' season debut.

I keep saying this, but Davis is going to play a very important role down the stretch and into the playoffs for us...Beane and McD did not want to lose him to the Jags, but they knew they couldn't afford to keep him based on what he was going to get as a UFA, and they were right.  He was a team captain and very well respected on this team and he and Josh have a great chemistry when plays break down and it becomes a scramble drill.

The biggest problem was they tried to force him into a role on the team as a WR2 that he isn't capable of being regularly, but in a lesser role as a WR3/WR4 he is extremely effective and gives us something really important.
