Like Detroit airs in most of lower Michigan's TV markets. Buffalo generally only airs in Rochester, elmira, Syracuse ( most). The population does not count Canadians. I'm not sure what the exact numbers are, but here are the largest TV markets (only for NFL teams), and yes, it doesn't include Canada: 1. New York City 2. LA 3. Chicago 4. Dallas - Fort Worth 5. Philly 6. Houston 7. Atlanta 8. D.C. 9. Boston 10. San Francisco - Oakland - San Jose 11. Tampa - St. Petersburg 12. Phoenix 13. Seattle 14. Detroit 15. Minneapolis - St. Paul 16. Denver 17. Miami - Fort Lauderdale 18. Cleveland - Akron 19. Charlotte (Raleigh-Durham is a separate, but right below Charlotte) 20. Indianapolis 21. Nashville 22. Pittsburgh 23. Baltimore 24. Kansas City 25. Cincinnati 26. Las Vegas 27. Jacksonville 28. New Orleans 29. Buffalo (#54 largest TV market overall, with Rochester & Syracuse considered separate TV markets) 30.
