Wacka Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Jim Lovell, astronaut, died 8/7/25 at age 97. He flew Gemini 7 and 12 and Apollo 8 and 13. He was the oldest living astronaut. He was played by Tom Hanks in the movie Apollo 13 and appeared in it as the admiral who greets them coming out of the helicopter after they splashed down at the end of the movie. 1 Quote
