It's only bad when Trump does it. Imagine the Dems bringing back jobs to America and cutting pharma costs. Isn't that what their party is supposed to be about? Trump is beating them at their own game and they don't know how to react

I thought he promised his lower income base, tax exemptions for tips and overtime.  He promised seniors tax exempt social security.  These are vitally important for regular people.  He definitely bought some votes with these promises.  And if they were a priority, they'd be in the bill.  The Suozzi questions and answers are striking to see in transcription.

“On tips—the president said, ‘Your tips will be a 100 percent yours.’ Does this tax bill continue the payroll tax on people’s tips?” asked Suozzi.

“Yes it does,” said Barthold.

“Overtime. The president said, ‘Your overtime will be tax-free.’ Does this bill continue the payroll tax on overtime?” continued Suozzi.

“It does not exempt overtime from payroll tax,” said Barthold.

“The president said he’s going to remove taxes from Social Security,” pressed Suozzi. “Does this bill remove taxes on Social Security benefits?”

“The legislation provides an increased exception amount—” Barthold began, before Suozzi interrupted.

“But does it remove taxes on Social Security benefits?” reiterated Suozzi.

“It does not change Social Security,” Barthold said.

You @ssholes want to spend the fed gov't into oblivion, but then whine when the math stops mathing and taxes have to marginally increase.  Or in this case stay flat for the end user.

Maybe start with the problem and run on a ticket that wants to actually cut the fed gov't goofball spending programs?  Dems would get 110% approval ratings if they ran on that, instead of tranny bathroom rights.

you do understand that this bill stopped taxes from increasing back to pre trump levels, right?  and that D's voted for the tax increase while all R's voted for the decrease.  And that the deficit is estimated at $4 trillion with this bill.

Also that this is a net tax increase on the poor through more expensive goods via tariffs and higher healthcare costs due to medicaid cuts.

trump loves the uneducated:  as voters but not enough love to help them financially.

Usually when politicians make election promises they can't keep they try to cover it up a little bit better.

You didn't vote for him. You don't need to trust him. So just decide how to handle the next 3+ years: angry, sad, defeated, indifferent, joyful, planning who you're going to vote for next. Doesn't matter really, except to you.

Now if you voted for KAMALA you do have some things to figure out. Namely, if you're going to vote for her as governor if she runs. Also if you like what the Democrats are doing in your state. Maybe you do! Hopefully they'll get that Palisades area rebuilt but who knows.

You really have bigger local issues to consider than whether or not Trump is 'fulfilling your expectations' or 'lying to you.'

Once again, here you are with ZERO to add to the conversation. Even if you disagree, maybe explain why rather than just sucking the droopy orange teet?

Even BillsFanNC occasionally slips up and makes a point. You literally add nothing but whataboutism and/or vitriol. Sorry to break the news, but Trump isn’t your real daddy.

You know just because that obese orange slob says he’s going to do something doesn’t make it true, right KD?

Where has he cut pharmaceutical costs? And in his mind doesn’t count.

What jobs are “back” that were gone and desired by any Americans? Still waiting.

You’re a better poster than to say he has (or will) cut pharma costs just because he said he’s going to (yet absolutely no one can explain the logistics).

Wow - if that doesn’t just scream “the American way” I don’t know what does. Are you ***** kidding me? So he’s your supreme leader and no one else’s, huh? What a disaster of a pair of sentences.
