It's a big gamble for them to release Jones for a $5 million cap saving. I don't think in the McDermott era, they have done that (not counting pre-Allen trades in the 2017 season). When the suspension is over in October and no one is hurt, and the rookies are all contributing, they have to make a decision then.

If Oliver had been a 2nd rd pick we'd all probably love his production. Just kinda disappointing for #9 overall.

Our McD usage of him so far. I think he needs to be the one to Shine in the playoffs at least to change our opinion.

For me . he just did not fit my type of DT

I want TWO  Fat kids to manage the running down and possible the 3rd in situations.

And feels like a specialist he needs to over achieve or get schemed into wins. Or both
