I was almost ready to give Season 7 a pass as it was clearly a set up for Season 8.  And then Season 8 dropped....

Yeah, I was probably a little unfair saying 3 seasons. But no more than 6.

 

The 6th season ends with the Battle of the Bastards, and that's when the show should've ended imo. I believe season 6 was the first one they were past the book material and just winging it. I'll give them credit for keeping it on the rails through BotB. But that season 7 opening, when Ed Sheeran showed up, I'll never forget seeing that and going "welp, this is over!". And then it just got worse and worse.
