Just not under then Enemies Act. This ruling appears to be correct given the intent of that Act. The ruling sets some parameters but it won't end deportations. 1

And yet the incompetence is so unbelievably high with this group of unqualified morons who vowed full dedication to an 80 year old conman. It gets funnier every day. 1

Funny how people call Biden’s presidency a 'low bar' - under him, we got record job growth, historic infrastructure investment, the lowest uninsured rate ever, and a real push for clean energy. Compare that to the last 100 days of chaos, grift, and culture war distraction. If this new crew can’t clear Biden’s so-called 'low bar,' maybe the bar was a lot higher than they want to admit. 1

The reason zero good happens on this cess pool of a message board is that neither side will admit their candidate is awful. Just look at the two choices we had - absolutely no one who hires people for a living would give either of these two a chance at an entry level gig. But beyond that, you are saying Biden left a high bar to surpass. That’s just walking around with blinders. The far left is just as bad as the far right. I shouldn’t have to worry about not being woke enough for fear of being fired for calling an obvious woman “she.” But that’s a low price to have paid to not have the absolute chaos going on now. The regret coming from the poverty level right would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad. Biden was awful. Trump is significantly worse. Why can’t we as a country elect someone who isn’t at the very far right end of the actuarial chart for life expectancy of an American male? I will say, the dedication some have to Trump is the definition of cultish. I didn’t see that with Biden, or ANY other politician in my time. That to me is the oddest thing of all - the pure refusal to see what they are seeing with their own eyes and still saying it’s a net positive. It’s so so so very odd. 1

You nailed it on the Trump cult - it’s unmatched but this 'both sides are awful' take falls apart the moment you look at actual outcomes. Biden may not be your ideal but let’s not rewrite history. Trump killed off over a million Americans through COVID neglect, lies, and political theater. He downplayed the virus, ignored scientists, pushed bleach, and turned a public health crisis into a partisan death march. Then he tanked the economy and handed Biden a flaming dumpster fire to fix. That’s a generational catastrophe. Biden, for all his flaws, rebuilt the economy, passed the CHIPS Act, historic infrastructure, and got us back on track with allies and global leadership. That’s not ‘awful’ that’s competent governance under impossible conditions. And as for 'wokeness'? Give it up man. If the worst thing in your life is navigating pronouns, while the other side is banning books, attacking elections, and trying to strip basic rights maybe reassess who’s actually threatening your freedom. We do deserve better leaders. But pretending Biden and Trump are two sides of the same coin isn’t realism it’s intellectual laziness. 1

By far, Biden's biggest mistake was not stepping down earlier so the Democrats could have a real selection process. Instead we got someone who was picked. The successor and had not earned it, and probably couldn't if she tried That kind of goes to the people that hid him away from the lights and then hoped he would somehow do ok in the spotlight. 1
