You like saving all my posts. Go find the ones where I provided news links.

Don’t flatter yourself. It’s easy to remember ridiculous assertions that are based solely on feelings.

They’ll have things like their infrared satellites, radar, and basic instruments. But soundings are the best and most accurate way to measure atmospheric instability conductive to storm development.

They’ll probably have to rely on other NWS offices’ readings which means that the data will be less accurate for the Albany area.

So then the data it is collecting is not that useful? I am not sure if you are intentionally missing the point but the NWS has one fundamental job, which is  collecting data, and when they are not doing everything in their power to collect that data it has lost its mission and is clearly bloated with too many workers doing less important work

I'm not sure what your point is.

The whole point of this thread was that NWS offices are unable to gather the critical data because of the cuts. They've already been understaffed; firing probational employees will only make the problem worse.

And your a teacher lol! Can you read? Sorry forget that, you obviously can't. Did he say any data is useless? No. He said best and most useful. That doesn't mean other data is useless. What a moron!

What is the practical impact? Any real life examples of weather related calamities caused by understaffed NWS?

No need to respond as we’ve been over this. There isn’t.

I gave you some. You dismissed them as being too out of date. Your constant moving of the goalposts is tiring.

You didn’t give “some”. You provided “one” link to a historic tornado in Chicago that happened 35 years ago and had zero relation to NWS being understaffed, underfunded, or overworked. Your constant inability to recall your own posts is tiring.

I rest my case.

At this point, there is absolutely nothing I could give you that would satisfy you. You are hell-bent on deleting anything that benefits the American public. Nonetheless:

The former NSSL employee said around a dozen people from the lab and the Storm Prediction Center in the Norman facility have already been let go. The cuts reduced the staffing capabilities for the agencies to model and track storms as well as provide alerts for people in affected storm areas, the worker said.

You cannot provide a single real-life example of a calamity brought about or worsened by lack of weather data related to NWS funding. Not one.

I did. You said it was too old.

As I said, you move the goalposts so much it's impossible.

Hey wow look what happened!

Any thoughts on why “democratic pollster and strategist” Matt McDermott does not include a link to a news source? I bet there’s a reason.

What do you imagine the overnight forecaster would have done to alleviate this calamity? Any info on if someone else covered the shift, possibly happy to do so in order to earn overtime?

Other than that, it’s quite a nugget you shared. Thank you.

edit - I did some poking around. Jackson, KY population 2200. I hope there’s another NWS station nearby.

ALSO - how do you and Matt explain this tweet from the Jackson NWS at 12:47am?

As stated above, quite a nugget you shared.

Never mind that London and Somerset are not in Jackson County.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are not tornado warnings.

It’s very cute when you pretend to know what you’re taking about, though.

Why do you imagine the weather office with no overnight forecaster was tweeting weather info at 12:47am this morning? Surely you have a thought.

Looks like Matt, Andrè, Josh, and by extension, you, all sh*t the bed on this story. As you know, it happens. To you and Redhawk more than most.

Trump will tweet the weather and if you disagree it’s TDS

How much time in a day do you spend thinking about TRUMP? Are you thinking about him as soon as you wake up? If you get up to pee in the night? Whatever the answer, it seems like a lot. You have obviously let him under your skin. Shows a lack of mental toughness. Best wishes over the next 44 months.

“Fully staffed” does not mean enough people, it means that they had whoever was possible.

They need more funding.

Lol. Kid, you have got to put down the bong and try harder. Please read the following tweet carefully as you have now sh*t on yourself twice with the Jackson, KY bit. Note that the tweet is from the same guy you just linked and repeats what I linked to earlier.

“Presumptuous”. A specialty of the modern “progressive”. Embarrassing.
