Because you don’t seem to have any issue with brown people coming over and doing these jobs. Should I understand your post correctly as to mean “white people” should strive for better jobs? I mean, that’s the true position of elitist libs, but just asking for you to clarify.

That’s some very weird projection but okay. No American citizen should have to work in wretched and dangerous factories in the modern era. It’s not some kind of noble profession, it’s pitiful, backbreaking work. Strive to improve society.

The days news seems to have upset you. Hang in there. I suspect it will get worse for you. Let’s check back in at the end of the year for a recap.
AlBUNDY4TDS Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Imagine thinking it's either high tech or the equivalent of the gulag. Roundy you are clearly showing you are a government employee. As stated, it’s a bill that will overwhelmingly affect the rural MAGA poor. The “I told you so” will be astronomical. For example, this town was a Trump +74 vote. They can get exactly what they voted for. 1 minute ago, AlBUNDY4TDS said: Imagine thinking it's either high tech or the equivalent of the gulag. They’re kicking our ass in green technology. We should be dumping trillions into that sector. Biden did!

You believe a modern factory is wretched and dangerous, huh? Is automobile manufacturing considered pitiful work? Machinists are pitiful people? Welders? Desk jobs are where it’s at. Factories bad! I feel badly for you despite your self-proclaimed empathy. Your parents and educators have failed you. 2 1

I do purchasing for a small local company. We are looking for a new welder as we speak. Machining can be dirty and labor intensive, but they are still needed. Actually If I had a kid I would push them to go to trade school opossed to college.

Still won’t help us compete with China in green technology, but you can keep pretending this is some kind of win.

The future of the global economy is semiconductors, microchips, batteries, nuclear power plants, and solar panels. China is thoroughly kicking our ass on this. MAGA is effectively ceding control of the global economy to the CCP by refusing to fund green infrastructure and manufacturing.

So you have moved on from factories and manufacturing are bad to we are behind China. Impressive. Here’s a bit of news for you - all jobs are good. An increased American manufacturing base would be a good thing. You don’t have to see it as a “win”. It just is. Rough day for you.
