Pump the brakes. Dorsey looked like the league’s number one HC candidate after the Rams game last year

Indeed

A lot went right for us otherwise too.  We're gloating over the number of points we put up vs. the Jets, but that was at least partially aided by the D setting us up for 10 of those nearly in the red zone.  Still good, just sayin'.

@Philly will be a far more accurate test as to where we stand in terms of what our ultimate goals are.

We still have McDimwit as our head coach.  It's unlikely that we don't see anymore questionable coaching from him.  Just like he couldn't see the blatant issues with Peterman, he stubbornly stood by Dorsey too.  Both times fans and media had to force his hand.

If our offense goes out and lights up at least 4 out of the next 6 opponents (Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys, Chargers, Patriots, Dolphins) in wins and gets us to the playoffs , then I will say there's been a very good change worth keeping. One game against the Jets can be a fluke. Dorsey had his one off good games like the Dolphins game this year. So consistency is key.

They wasted a year and a half on him. He had no plan B against a lot of teams. Little or no run game, and very little under-center PA. He was turning Josh Allen into Sam Darnold.

On the surface watching the Dorsey offense it just didn't seem to have any continuity. There was little processing of in game tendencies by the other team to set up other plays, formations or options. Each play seemed to exist in a vacuum of well "if the defense presents this, this play should beat that coverage" which to an extent is true, but it completely ignores tendencies and what the other team is trying to do. This is what I so far took away from watching Brady call the game, he seemed to understand that the Jets were prone to doing X if formation Y was presented, and taking that into considering when calling future plays.

That was a great block by the rookie

It was, although for a second I was worried it was gonna get called back for a block in the back.

We used to have a DC with a no plan “B” problem as well…,

Great breakdown. Love the Cover 1 vids.

Good to see Brady adjusting and catching the Jets D off guard. And the use of backs in the pass game (been hearing forever how good of a pass catcher Cook is and we may be beginning to witness that), and the use of the middle of the field. I see so many teams exploit the middle and the BIlls weren't doing it for some inexplicable reason. Now they are.

It's only one game, yes, but what a game.
