Thank you very much. When they hit America for the first time in the Ed Sullivan show I was 9.. (in 1964). I don't believe those of today can ever grasp the moment. 73 million people tuned in for their 1st show in the USA.

My mom worked on the Ed Sullivan show for a number of years and met all kinds of famous people, and knew Ed pretty well on a personal level.

She was there for The Beetles and said it was incredible.

      Just yesterday I was wondering through Youtube when I watched a video where the presenter was stating how under-rated Ringo was as a drummer.   In his past, a guy audtioning for a drummer in a band stated Ringo sucked.  So the autioner challenged him to play the drums for "Act Naturally."  He couldn't really do it for more than 30 seconds.  The presenter then pointed out if you watch Ringo, he does it effortlessly and sings at the same time.  

   In the comments under the video, several posters said Ringo was a human metronome.

Ringo is ridiculously underrated as a drummer.  The Beatles channel on SiriusXM has a lot of talk segments during the later evening hours. There was one segment that focused exclusively on Ringo’s drumming and how brilliant he was. 
 

I’ve always been one to focus on Paul’s bass lines whenever I listen to the Beatles (which is daily). But since Listening to that Ringo segment, I’ve begun to listen more closely to his drumming. 
 

He was really amazing.
