TPS Posted April 21, 2021 Author Share Posted April 21, 2021 The Athletic released their top 300 consensus board using over 50 "Big Boards" to compile the list. My feeble attempt using 7 lists turned out to be pretty accurate for the top 31-2 prospects. Some comments: 1. While not the same order, their top 12 matches what I had. I also suggested their was a gap in the rankings between the 12 and 13, and their list certainly doesn't contradict that. 2. My #s suggested a second grouping from 13 - 21, and the only difference there is they have Moehrig in that group while I have Harris. 3. For the remainder of the top 31, the only differences are they have Bateman, and my list doesn't; Rousseau made my top 31, but he was #32 on their list. I guess the moral of the exercise is that you can get a pretty accurate idea of rankings if you just use a sample of 7 - 10 boards.
