76th Anniversary of D-Day Invasion

Recommended Posts

This was yesterday June 6th. How did you spend your day yesterday? A lot of you were making a lot of very pro-fascist arguments in the various police protest threads. I was there; I saw. A lot of it was directed at me. In this thread we'll remember the meaning of the sacrifices of previous generations fight against fascism. And we need to make sure the bootlicking cop worshippers of this community (Billsfan1959, Deranged Rhino, Chef Jim) don't blow these efforts by cheering the homegrown fascism of the modern American police force.

I posted on this board for one day yesterday. All of my posts were about freeing minorities, and fighting fascism. This was apparently a controversial opinion on this board. Maybe I wasn't polite enough about it. The invasion of Normandy beach, also a famously very polite protest against global fascism.

Am I comparing any of us to the WWII soldiers? No. I'm saying that if you are supporting the crawl march to the police state of last week, you are dishonoring the sacrifice of the American troops who fought to end fascism almost a century ago. It is despicable to share any community among people like those I encountered in this subforum yesterday. You dishonor the troops.

You know exactly who you are.  Shame on you.

Do better.

After the left has pocketed the concept of liberalism and turned the word into the opposite of its original meaning, the Antifa-movement uses a false terminology to hide its true agenda. While calling themselves “antifascist” and declaring fascism as the enemy, the Antifa itself is a foremost fascist movement.

The members of Antifa are not opponents to fascism but themselves its genuine representatives. Communism, Socialism, Fascism are united by the common band of anti-capitalism and anti-liberalism.

The Antifa movement is a fascist movement. The enemy of this movement is not fascism but liberty, peace, and prosperity.

Don't worry, I believe you.  I'm sure you have lots of literature in your trunk.

I can’t imagine being so blind as to not see that Antifa and BLM are the fascists. Basically Hitler’s brownshirts.

Well, I'm sure it would be hard to imagine anything outside of your programming, you poor creature!!!! It's obvious you're going through life with a noggin full of maggots and pure unquestioned, unfiltered propaganda.

Can you make it through the whole video?

Whatchu gonna use to try to dismiss this one? Gonna try to say its inaccurate, misrepresented? That the full versions of all these videos aren't all out there on social?

What a damn shame that a few generations later, the anniversary of D-Day is spent fighting fascism supported by morons at home.

I’ll continue to support law enforcement against today’s brownshirts.

It's quite a show isn't it. It's like a "Crossfire Hurricane" of propaganda and agitation to get Trump out of office. This BS is going to get old quick for a lot of people.

Yeah so when somebody says you are programmed with propaganda

And then you refute that claim with... a Fox News link

And a repeat of what you said before

I think, legally, this makes you mentally ######ed. Not even me saying that. Legally I think this qualifies you.

When a link that goes to a simple list of the factually documented cases of violence perpetrated against law enforcement in these protests is construed as propaganda, you know you’re dealing with an imbecile. Let me guess, you think Trump got elected in 2016 because half of America is racist. Keep burying your head in the sand.

You are the one who is entirely dismissing a news source based on... propaganda programming? You can’t disprove anything in the link I posted because what I posted is a basic list of the factually documented cases of violence against police. Note they are generally far more violent and insidious than anything LEO did in your video.

Nothing like playing Pete Seeger as the background music.

Yep. Great song. Great American folk singer. Fitting for the footage.

(I'm aware you're being sarcastic. Your actual point is boring.)

Who said anything about disproving -- what are you babbling about? None of that was said. I'm talking about literally just that it was from Fox News, just that aspect of it. Jesus Christ you sensitive snowflake take it down a notch.

Yeah I think it's really bad that Marx said "go kill 100 million people" oh wait no he didn't. He said capitalism was unsustainable for a number of reasons that have just been proven prescient and true.

Idk why you morons don't see this obvious flip coming when you trot this one out...

How do you feel about the 100 billion dead and tortured in the name of Christ?

Literally the same logic. So stupid. You wouldn't know this is stupid because you don't know what you're even talking about. You don't even know what "Marx" and "Communists" -- you're just repeating *****, dude, it's so ***** obvious when nothing is going on between the ears.

You're so ***** stupid you probably actually do hate "coastal liberals" and "Marx" at the same time, and you think that's a logical position, you think that's the same thing!!!  Marx would agree with hating coastal liberals. The causes you theoretically support economically, the globalism you hate -- you're so stupid, you don't realize this is Marxist.

I swear to God. All human brains are programmable. But some people really show how easily it can be done. You don't even know your basic history. You just watch TV and have the internet. You're dull in the worst way.

Why is racism bad? Just look at all the dead from our civil war and WW2. What killed them? Racism. Whether is was Alexander Stephens VP of the Confederacy claiming their nation was founded on the “truth” that blacks were inferior or Hitler claiming the Jews and Slavs needed to be exterminated, it’s all the same.

My my dad was a Paratrooper in France, but he didn’t jump on D-Day, thankfully he missed the fighting. My Uncle Chester was a driver on the Red Ball Express that allowed for the breakout from Normandy to be sustained.

Did Id you know that vile, stupid racism almost derailed the war production of the city of Philadelphia because the city had the nerve to....its so bad I can hardly write it...but they, they, hired three blacks to drive buses in the city!!! Horrible!!!

The Philadelphia transit strike of 1944 was a sickout strike by white transit workers in Philadelphia that lasted from August 1 to August 6, 1944. The strike was triggered by the decision of the Philadelphia Transportation Company (PTC), made under prolonged pressure from the federal government in view of significant wartime labor shortages, to allow black employees of the PTC to hold non-menial jobs, such as motormen and conductors, that were previously reserved for white workers only.[1][2] On August 1, 1944, the eight black employees being trained as streetcar motormen were due to make their first trial run. That caused the white PTC workers to start a massive sickout strike.[1][3]

Thomas E. Allen (left), an employee of the Philadelphia Transportation Company, training as a trolley operator with William Poisel. Until 1944, black workers were excluded from all non-menial jobs.
Date August 1–6, 1944
Location Philadelphia
Participants White workers of the Philadelphia Transportation Company
Outcome Strike broken as a result of the U.S. military intervention under the  Smith–Connally Act

The strike paralyzed the public transport system in Philadelphia for several days, bringing the city to a standstill and crippling its war prod
